:skeptic:I own a TRX500FA Honda Foreman Rubicon 2002. My son stuck a corn stalk into the front drive shaft oil seal. The shaft that comes out of the front of the motor, going to the front drive axle. I need to know what my options are to replacing it. The seal is ruined. Do I need to tear down the lower unit of the motor to replace the seal or does the drive shaft seperte. Please let me know. Or if anybody knows where I can download a repair manual of the web, or email me one that would be great. Not really wanting to purchase one. I will if I absolutely need to. Any Info would be greatly appreciated. Thxs. WeekEndWarrior.

I'm not 100% sure on that..but I think it pulls out and you can use a seal puller to replace the seal. Someone else like maybe BuckBilly, will be able to answer that. I think he owns or had a Foreman.

Just bought an 09 Ruby, Ajmboy. I think Ajmboy is correct on how to pull the seal out. Here is a link for the front diff Fiche Parts

Thanks BuckBilly and Ajmboy, really appreciate it. Also found out through local dealer shop, that I will have to loosen up the front diff. and pull ahead about and inch, and shaft should seperate and should be able to pull out seal and take off of shaft. . Thanks again. Tim. WeekEndWarrior.

Thanks BuckBilly, I really appreciate you checking out the seal for me. I already did what they recommended and it came apart. Pulled the seal out. Now just need to go get one at local dealer. Thanks again. WeekEndWarrior.

No thanks needed. I'm glad to learn anything I can about the Ruby.

I have the seal out. Numbers on the seal are not visible. The prints/parts break down is kind of complicated to read, and really cannot locate the seal on the prints. If anybody has knowledge of seal number, let me know. I can always call local dealer. Thanks again.

I have a 2009 Honda Rancher TRX420FA with shifting problems.
Usually it shifts ok when cold but after couple minutes it will stop shifting with no codes.
The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in first gear is 74psi. The 2nd shift clutch oil pressure when in second gear is 74psi.
The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in neutral is zero. The problem is when the tranny is in neutral the 2nd shift clutch pressure starts around 10-15psi and builds to 20psi. Is this normal?

Hey guys, so I've been messing with my quad, and between all the starts, the battery is dead. Is there a certain way to charge these? Can I just throw a trickle charger on it and call it a day? can i also jump it like a normal car with a battery pack or is that to much voltage

Good morning, I am new to the forum. I'm 75 years old and love getting ATVs back to usable condition. I particularly like the 2006-2009 Arctic Cat 250 Utility. I currently own 6. The 2006 I am working on only has reverse and low gear. The "drive shaft" in the transmission is completely stripped where the high gear would mesh. Has anyone on here replaced the shaft. I'm told I have to split the case. I was hoping that someone on here could let me know how hard it will be. I already have it stripped down to where the shaft coming in from the clutch side is the only thing left. I was hoping I could just remove the driven clutch and drive it out from there. Directions say different. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
