1994 yamaha bigbear 350 4x4 question

:huh:i need to split the right side of the case according to the yamaha dealership to make sure i have no dirt or anything in the engine before i put my cylinder back on since i got it bored over. do i have to worry about anything just falling out it i just pull it off. someone told me to get a pressure washer and soap and spray the hell out of it and itll take any dirt or anything out. will it hurt anything or what is your ideas on the subject thank yall.

a couple people said to split the case and go to the car wash and spray the inside of the motor. i figure that would mess somethin up. what should i do. i split the case and started messin around kinda lookin for dirt but didnt really see or pick none up. only one thing fell out when i took it apart but that was easy to put back in.

I wouldn't use a pressure washer on the inside, that is like using a sledgehammer to drive finnishing nails. Since it is most likely pretty clean in there. You just need to make sure there aren't any pieces of dirt or metal shavings floating around in there. A regular hose sprayer will be fine, just make sure to remove any loose fitting parts so you don't lose them. Otherwise, I would leave the bearings in there unless they need to be replaced. The water wont hurt them, just blow everything out with compressed air when you are done and let it dry. Then apply a coat of oil to everything before you start putting it back together. Very impoprtant that you make sure everythign is in the right place, even something as small as switching two very similar washers around can keep things from operating properly or operating at all for that matter. Also very important to make sure all gasket sealing surfaces are clean, flat and have no gouges in them.

      New Yamaha Timberwolf Rear Shock Found!

      Sorry I suck at these forums so if you see this submitted under update status, my bad. Anyhow this is a new shock for a 96 Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4 it fits my 96 Yamaha Timberwolf 250 4x4 perfectly. Little narrower are the bottom than the original but everything else is perfect. I extended it to almost a half in from full extension because I’m pushing 350 pounds.  It rides and hold me well. So if any of y'allRace driven shock. have been looking for one and didn’t want to do the research here it is.

      Hey I have a 1997 big bear 350 4x4
      I replaced the shifter shaft and the shift arm linkage and the rod when I installed them all I was unaware that you had to line the dot on the shifter shaft with the gap on the linkage arm gap put it all back  together and rode it I can't get it to shift in the right gears  I can move the shift cam by hand and goes in different gears but with the shifter shaft in it riding I can't put it in R or N 
      Anyone know how to line up the shifter shaft and the shift cam s

      I WANTED TO UPGRADE THE CARBURATOR ON MY 1992 BIG BEAR 350, SO I ORDERED A NEW CARB FROM EBAY.  ACCORDING TO THE WRITE-UP IT WAS A GOOD FIT FOR BIG BEARS FROM 1988 TO 1996.  WHEN I REMOVED MY ORIGINAL CARB I NOTICED THAT IT WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE NEW CARB MY CARB HAD TWO THROTTLE  CABLES THE NEW CARB ONLY HAD ONE CABLE.  HOW CAN I MAKE THIS CARB WORK ON MY TWO CABLE THROTTLE?

      Hello I’m new here and was wondering is anyone knew of good replacement part numbers for front struts and rear shocks for this atv? I think I’ve found a new rear shock, that looks like the original but there is no dimensions or anything and was wondering if there are any afterMarket new front struts available. I know it’s a long shot but any help would be appreciated.

      1996 4x4 Timberwolf rearend width. Can someone with some knowledge of these machines answer this question for me please. Are all 4x4 timberwolves this narrow in the rearend? These tires are so close the right one actually rubs the muffler.  Thinking about seeing if there are any spacers out there for it. I need at least an inch more clearance.
