Why will all the text be deleted? I would think that a description of the machine is somewhat important. Voters should know how much work has gone into each project.

That is just how QC does it. They just take the first picture. I don't recall seeing any text in previous contest.

I think that we should make an exception to that, like I said I think it is important for voters to know what has been modified. The theme is described as" "Best Modified From Original" is basically anything that makes your machine different from factory (OEM) original. This could be addons, mechanical modifications, graphics, exterior accessories (luggage, winches, grips, ...), tires, etc..." I think that alot of the details listed in the contest description might not be noticed or explained well enough by a single pic. For example, if I were to enter my TRX 500R, and the only thing you had to go on was this pic, then most people would not see all of the time, custom fab work and enginuity that has gone into this project. At first glance, it looks like a relatively normal '86 250R with poorly painted plastics. What you may not notice is that the frame is completely hand made from a jig built off of an actual 250R frame, or the extensive modification necessary to stuff a CR 500 motor into it and make all of the intake plumbing squeeze by the rear shock, or that the pipe was actually hand made by some one to fit the 250R frame, but is tuned for a CR 500 motor. You may not notice the +2 400ex a-arms that have been modified to work properly with the KFX 450 shocks, or the custom shock mounts that had to be made from scratch to fit them on the machine. You may not notice the modified kick starter that had to be extended out from the motor in order to clear the rear brake master cylinder, or the brace and custom machined brass bushing that keep the side cover from cracking due to the extra pressure put on it by the kicker sticking out so far from the motor. You cant see inside to see the '87 crank that has a rod that is 5mm longer than the stock '86 crank, and it would be hard to notice the spacer plate machined for me by Cometic gasket co. to compensate for the longer rod. You definately would not notice the hand fabricated adaptors that allow for the use of the twin piston 250R brake calipers on the ex spindles because the ex brakes do not cut the mustard on this machine. You would not be able to tell that the entire rear suspension is actually off of an '85 ATC 250R with the exception of the shock which is one of the only actual factory '86 TRX 250R parts on this machine aside from the front brake calipers plastics, thumb throttle and brake lever/resivior.

We start a separate thread always for voting, this thread remains.

It's a photo contest, so we start a separate thread with all the photos in a row. This thread can always be referenced. Your text will remain.

Yes, first photo added will be used in the contest.

I rebuilt the carb on said machine. When I hook up the auxiliary gas tank it runs fine and everything is cool. When I put the fuel tank on and hooked up the lines, it completely flooded the cylinder and even about an inch of fuel in the air box. I'm pretty sure that it comes from the little hose on the petcock and hooks to the top of the carb. WTH is that even for? I mean the thing runs fine on the auxiliary tank, so idk And on the petcock when it's in the "on" position, I get no fuel. The petcock from the bike I took it apart and checked out how it operates. The sharpie marks indicate how it really works. Now the other petcock w/o the sharpie marks is an old one that was leaking that I removed from a Polaris quad. It's exactly the same thing, except the small hose and nipple have been removed. I'm so confused, LOL

I'm working on a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 400 with shift indicator problems. The indicator panel only will show Neutral and Reverse. If it's in High or Low, the indicator will show "R".
I have replaced the three position indicator switch on the transmission. There is also a two position switch on the tranny that I didn't replace. If anyone is familiar with this problem, please let me know what I need to do. Any help is greatly appreciated!

      Hi to all
Newbie here. Not new to ATVs. Look forward to learning a few new things and hope to maybe help some too.

I'm currently working on an 04 Suzuki Eiger 400 and ran into some issues. Main issue being it's really hard to start. Once I get it started, it runs bad. Sounds like it's missing, which I'm pretty sure is an idle issue. It's not my 4 wheeler. I'm working on it for a buddy. Someone started working on the original carb and 2 jets were missing when I got it to work on.
So, I ordered a new carb. To get it to run, I had to adjust the throttle screw on the handle bar almost all of the way out. Even doing that, it still sounds like it's bogging down and missing.
I did put a gas filter on it, which I'm questioning whether or not that's the issue and it's not getting enough gas like it should. The petcock only has an On, Reserve, and Prime option. It also has 2 ports. I guess I have the hoses hooked up right. There's no way to shut the gas off completely, and also it looks like there's no gas getting thru unless I run it on Prime. Reserve drips gas. I'm going to take it apart today and clean it. I'm also going to take the jets I need out of the new carb and put in the old one.
I don't know what all this person did you the 4 wheeler before I got it. There's odds and ends missing that I've noticed so far. What else can I try or look for? What could be the gas issue with the carb and petcock? The carb was completely off the bike except hanging onto the throttle cable. The diagram I found for the carb doesn't help me with hose placements. Any help, or questions would be appreciated. I can attach photos if it would be of help.
