2007 Polaris Sportsman 700 not firing

I have a 2007 Polaris 700 Sportsman. Bike was running fine but started sputering before the last time I parked it. Now the bike will not start. The bike turns over and is getting plenty of fuel. It acts like the spark plug is not firing. I have replaced the spark plug and spark plug wire but still it acts like it is not firing and will not start.

I am now down to checking the spark plug coil, CDI, Stator, and the trigger on the stator.

Any ideas or suggestions that can point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

To be sure that you aren't getting spark, take the plug out, connect it to the boot and ground the plug to the motor. Crank the motor over to check for spark. I think you are probably right, but it is best to be sure. If it is indeed lack of spark that is your problem, then you have are on the right track, I would, however, check the kill switch and key switch and all connections first. You want to rule out the simplest and cheapest problems before you start spending money on more expensive parts.

BTW, JB68, Ricky Stator is a brand name, they make aftermarket ignition products and even other hard parts like a-arms and such.
