i want you guys(AND GIRLS) to help me make a decision on whether i should sell my 04 predator 500 and buy my uncles 03 ltz 400 (mint condition). my pred has given me a few problems such as getting engine oil into the air box and filter, the ignition takes any key since the original owner flipped it, the front tire is also bent and its a very heavy bike for me(im 14 years old and 115 lbs.) i want the 400 because its lighter so i can learn to do wheelies, has reverse, and i trust suzuki more. tell me what you think!:GEEK:

I am a Polaris guy, but as a rider you need equipment that you are comfortable with. If the Suzi is gonna be more dependable, no one wants to break down, and a more comfortable bike for you then I would say go for it.

As far as the wheelies or any other tricks, they all take practice and commitment. Your body your mind and your quad all have to be in top shape and you need to wear proper safety gear. Start out small and work your way up. Somedays are better than others and dont push it. Remember every trick you do could be the last trick you do.

Stay safe

I'd go with whatever machine is in the best shape, from the sound of it, that would be your uncle's LTZ. I also think Suzuki makes a better machine. I am going to move this thread into the general ATV discussion forum becuase it is not just Polaris related.

      Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 – the engine keeps stalling after running for about 10–15 minutes. I’ve checked the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines, but can’t seem to find the root of the problem. It starts up just fine, but then loses power suddenly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with this model/year? Would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips you’ve tried that worked. Thanks in advance for your help!

I’m having a issue with my choke when its on it runs fine when I cut the choke off the atv cuts off went to take the carburetor off and saw the choke plunger broke at the nut to screw it in could this be my issue? Do I just need to buy a plunger kit and put it on? I took the carburetor off and cleaned both jets anyway just to make sure and it’s still having issues staying on

I got a 2005 350 Raptor Special Edition and I'm dealing with a no start issue; the weirdest thing is when I'm cranking it fires and slows down showing signs of pre firing, smoke shoots out the carburetor every time it sparks. every electrical part (CDI, Rectifier, Stator, Coil) has been swapped out from previous owner, the top end of the engines all new and I cleaned the carb out, anyone got any ideas or similar problems, also is it possible to have a bad spark timing

I recently picked up a  2000 warrior 350 and it doesn’t have the air filter box so I was thinking about using a clamp on filter directly on the carb.  Anyone know what I need to get or where I can find it? The one I ordered goes in the box and won’t fit directly on the carb.
