Honda 450r fuel injection?

Does any one know when honda well come out with fuel injection in the 450. i love my hondas but man i wish it would come fuel injected..

You can get more power and atomization of fuel with fuel injection, but it's just more expensive parts to replace...:cute:

i havent heard people putting carbs on the new rapter. my buddy says the new rapter kicks a$$ fuel injected. fuel injection is just easier. ive just always have had problems with carbs

I personally have a 700 "Rapter" and I would rather have carbs. Teh guys that want to go fast are putting carbs on, they rev over 10,000rpm...

IMO you get a more consistent burn with efi than you do with a hole thay leaks fuel. Which translates to more miles per tank of gas. i think power is also more consistent with efi. Efi can conform to altitude changes, air temp and humidity on the fly.

Moving to NHRA, its a fact that the biggest hp top fuel and funny cars are all injected. In drag racing consistency is key. Top fuel cars are making over 8000hp. I love drag racing loln

Now ...id rather have a carb on the trails than efi. I feel safer with a carb being 40 miles from a main road.

Until prices of efi drop on atvs and tuners figure out the tricks of efi on atvs, i think atv riders will make more hp with carbs.

With cars its cheaper to make big hp with efi. 15 years ago that was a myth.

      So i recently bought a Honda TRX 450r 05 kick start model i am the 3rd owner. this bike ripped when it was running but i ceased it.I freed up the piston but there is little compression now. i think i ran it out of oil but it was like 20hrs or so since the last oil change. My real question is that i heard you have to rebuild the top end every 15 hours is this true? Now i have bought a new big bore kit to replace the cylinder and the piston but i dont really want to have to rebuild it every 15hrs.

      Hi all, new to this forum so thanks in advance for the help.

      I have recently brought a 2013 power steering fuel injected foreman 500.

      It has a crack in the front casing and was running rough. I have since replaced the front engine casing and this has made no difference to the engine performance.

      It starts and idles but bogs down and starts to die once throttle is applied.

      It maybe be but it also sounds very load.

      wife and i purchased 2 new machines in 2020, she actually surprised me when i said lets just look.  ....lol 
      next thing i know salesman called us saying our machines were ready for delivery,i fell in love w/ the kodiak 700; she got the 450. Both are the “ SE “ models , ..fast forward winch installed , plow ready for snow. I cannot praise it enough , however ill say theres times i will take her smaller quad out on trails and i actually enjoy it more lol , dont get me wrong the 700 is a Beast ...i pull trees outa woods, use it for multiple tasks on our property , its big.  Lol and the power was shocking ....then i hop on my wifes and its a different ride , almost feels like a snappy go cart in the woods. Lol.  It just goes and its fun to blast around on .... so i guess im lucky ..... 
      point here if your looking for nice machine for wife ,look hard at the 450 , power steering and plenty of power , weve met several people on trails and the question comes up “ how about a choice for my wife , we point them to this ..... 
      the Be ast is just amazing for work plowing snow is great, and it just works hard but loves to play ...... oh well just smiling with them figured id share some ramblings ...ride safe guys

      Hows evryone feel about blasting around in snow ? 
      I love it usually after all plowing is done ill drop the plow and just go lut and have fun. From drifting all over lol to packing snow trails in woods its fun , never been into snow mobiles ,  where we live its very rural and our roads seem like an afterthought when it comes to plowing lol , usually last to get cleared , so we will hit the back roads to powerlknes and such , we have several people around here with side by siedes ,and the usually hit the powerlines , pack the trails and then we hit them good fun ....Anybody else ?

      Hey y’all I got a kfx 400, rebuilt the carb put bigger inlets on it, adjusted the fuel mixture screw 2.5 turns out and cleaned the fuel petcock. It starts up not so great, it takes full throttle with full choke and cranks for about 10-20 seconds before it fires and while “ideling” it surges very bad and I’ve messed with the idle set and it changes nothing, if you ride it casually it runs fine but as soon as you get on it for more than 4 seconds it stumbles and falls flat on its face and you have to wait for the carb to fill back up with fuel, I’ve checked everything and nothing is blocking fuel, I even put a bigger hose to see if that made a difference. Thanks for reading hopping to hear someone has some advice.
