Hope someone can help. It runs perfectly in reverse..but dies while letting out the clutch in first. i can take off a little in first and second but it'll die out. It has excellent power in reverse though? it's a 2000 warrior 350. it's impossible to shift into neutral while it's running.

Hi to everyone. I'm trying to help my son with a problem be bought. A 2014 Coleman Outfitters 400 4x4 UTV(Hisun 400). Suppose to have a Kodiak 400 motor and CDI box that was wired in and being used. Then there was a fire that messed up the wiring. They bought a new wiring harness and someone worked on it, long enough to strip all wiring and cut connectors ends. I've bought and rebuilt several ATV and ATCs so I'm going to try to help. I am searching around for wiring diagrams for both Kodiak, unknown year and the UTV side. Trying to be sure manuals I have to buy are worth the price, I've bought many in the past that were a waste of time and money. Anyway this is long winded enough. I'll continue my searching and hope to learn enough to help get it running and everything working. Once I figure anything out I will try to repost any information that might help others. Hope to be able to exchange info with many others members.

MY trx has some mods like an full exhaust air filter and an oil filter my lid is on i bought a dyno jet kit stage 2 i read the instructions and changed the main jet supposibly but i didnt change any fuel needel on pilot jet when i turn on the bike its starts immidiatly but starts poopin and crackin on 5th gear when i go fast >>>?? why ...i feel like the bike should get some moore airshould i remove the lid or what??
My inside sources at Honda have told me that the new 450 will have an all new aluminum frame, EFI, improved geometry, and all new suspension. It should be out in 2010 unless they run into technical issues. The new 450R should put Honda back on top where they belong.

IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL NOTICE
Dear TRX Owner:
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Act.
What is the reason for this notice?
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, American Honda Motor Co.,Inc. is conducting a voluntary safety recall of certain 2006 model year Honda TRX450R/ER ATV’s.
Our records indicate that you own one of these vehicles.
What is the problem?
A safety defect may exist in the steering system of your TRX. The front suspension arm ball joints may have been contaminated during the production process, resulting in rapid wear of the ball joints and possible ball joint separation. If ball joint separation occurs while riding, the TRX could lose steering control and may crash.
What should you do?
Honda strongly recommends that you do not operate your TRX until it has been repaired. Parts will be available soon. We will send you another letter notifying you when you can go to your Honda ATV dealer for the free replacement of all four front suspension arms
(Right/Left & Upper/Lower).
If you must operate the vehicle prior to repair, perform the following inspection before each ride to ensure that the ball joints have not loosened:
Visual and Physical Inspection of the upper and lower ball joints:
Park the TRX on a flat, hard surface, such as a driveway or hard packed dirt surface. Turn the handlebars until the front wheels are aimed straight ahead. With the handlebars centered, grab the tire with both hands as shown. Push and pull the top of the tire while feeling for any looseness, listening for a clicking/knocking noise, and observing the upper and lower ball joint housings for up and down movement. Repeat this procedure on the opposite side. If you perceive any looseness, hear noise, or observe movement of the ball joint housing, the ball joint has excessive freeplay and must be replaced before the TRX is operated.
If you do not feel qualified to inspect your ball joints, please do not operate your vehicle until it has been repaired.
If you feel any excessive steering looseness or hear noise while riding, stop the vehicle and check the ball joints.
