Ok My Cousin got his Baja Extreme 300 about 1 year ago, it ran if you jumped it, so we got a new battery. then it still needed jumped, so we just ignored it and kept jumping it. then it just stopped one day. so we needed to charge it for a couple hours then jumped it and it ran for about 100 yards then just died, and it wouldn't start again, i tryed starting it and it didn't even try, it made no noise at all, so my cousin had to push it all the way back to his house, so someone please tell me what you think is wrong with it.

And the 2nd Thing i need to ask is what is the Baja Extreme 300 closest related to cause i think it's a generic brand atv.Cause he wants to buy some after market ATV parts and plastic for it.

Cause my friend's Dad may be able to fix it and i want to know what's wrong with it first

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US!!!

Have you changed the battery? Sounds like the battery is not holding a charge, which is very possible. It's only a year old, most likely it's a bad battery.

Here is the manual for that thing: http://www.bajamotorsports.net/Downloads/X300%20ATV%20Manual.pdf

Now, what is that close to, I don't know. But, Pep Boys sells those things...maybe they are servicing them.

Hey buddy, i got the same problem as you its NOT the battery and the charge it drains itself because of not enough power to run it, it could possibly be leaking onto 2 red wires with a plastic cap in the middle, that's your fuse, if that's broken from the acid you need to replace the connectors and fuse. jump starting it is hard on the atv so careful how you do it. Also if you haven't already, clean your gas tank it has debris in there from the plastic shavings and gets clogged in your fuel filter so flush the tank (have an experienced person help you) and replace the filter (Wal-mart $10 doesn't have to be the same) Next be careful with the fuel on/res/off valve it will break off after extended use, that might also have crap in it. if u have a dad/relative/friend who is good with Suzuki engines have them take a look and clear it out, it should run perfectly after that. Good Luck

Oh and btw. Since its a Suzuki 4stroke 300cc engine you can buy aftermarket parts, just consult a dealer before you purchase said parts.

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?

The battery on my Big Bear drops completely down in the battery compartment nothing sticks up to grip too, plus there is only 1/8" clearance along the sides, no way to get a grip on it to pull up out of battery compartment. I thought about putting a piece nylon strap under the battery and leaving enough up each side to give me something to pull it up out ff the battery compartment or using a big zip tie around the battery.
Any others have any ideas or have had this issue.

I suspect this bike may have a bad speed limiter. The part number for is 4060204. I found this one on ebay but it has a part number that is 1 number different. (4060203). It has the same LR44-2 and says its for a 94 Magnum 425. Will this one work on my machine or do I absolutely have to have the 4060204? Your advice would be appreciated. Thank you

I have a 94 Trail Boss 250 2wd that will not go into forward. Reverse works great but forward just clicks but won’t engage. I’ve verified the shift lever is pushing far enough so I believe I have either an engagement “dog” or mating forward gear that are likely bad. I also see a fair amount of metal on the dipstick magnet. But if I ride the machine in reverse the gearbox seems quiet with no other issues by what I hear. That said I’m in process of pulling the gearbox to see what parts I need. The gearbox has 1341124 as the model number as shown in the photo below but I can’t find any gearbox on eBay or the Polaris parts site that matches that number. Is this 94 model a year that used some special gearbox? My tag on the box even looks different than all the tags on gearboxes I see for sale on eBay. I really want to buy new parts for the ones damaged in my gearbox to fix the one I have but just doing research at this point to see what gearbox I have to know which parts I need. Anyone with experience with this I welcome some advice or direction from what you have learned. Just FYI this machine is new to me but cranks, runs and idles perfect. It’s not beat up and will be a gem when I get this tranny fixed. Thanks.
