My New Exercise Program !!

Recommended Posts

My buddy and I went track'in last Thursday and it started out sunny and brite. 86.gif

We were commenting to each other how nice the snow conditions where and how good we were gett'in around ... NOTE To Self - NEVER say things that will jinx you later and bite you in the a$$ !! 021.gif

We had lunch & decided we would go out to "Baldy Ridge" ... we were hav'in a blast play'in the open meadows when my buddy started over this hill & down into a small gully ... NOTE To Self - Always Make sure HE makes it before you follow !! ... as I started following him down thru this gully and as he started up out of it, he started sinking, sliding sideways downhill eek.png ... and I made a fatal mistake ... I slowed down 91.gif ... as he was lucky enough to get back on top of the snow ... I now had broke thru the crust ... and I was stuck. 16.gif

My buddy almost got stuck again, only this time in front of me ... but some how he made it out of that predicament ... went up the hill and got back behind me.

Now the work started ... digging & winching. I used all 65 ft of tow strap I had & about 35 ft of his winch cable .... then some more digging .... some more winching ... more winching ... well, you get the picture 03.gif ......... after about 2 1/2 hrs later ... I was on the hill top with my buddy and we were rolling the tow straps back up ... Whew ... now I'm thirsty too !!

Here's a couple photo's of the days ride and my current exercise program ... 93.gif

And I'm glad I got-r-did too !! :woot:

...

I think all of us with the bigger 4x4 quads have been in that situation whether it be snow or nasty mud. It sucks huffin and puffin getting your beast freed up.

And I wasn't trying to be funny, sometimes it just comes across that way ...

:laugh:Looks like that was an awesome adventure. Getting stuck is always a lot more fun than getting broke:yes:. Awesome pics, doesn't look like a bad place to be stuck:wink::hurrayc:A warm fire and a cold beer would be perfect.

Right on Wylde Guy !! It was awesome !! Anytime out in the "Out-of-Doors" is awesome to me ... just some are more awesome than others !!

A warm fire & cold beer he says !! ... maybe AFTER I got out cause it would of killed us to have to walk to even find a twig to burn from where I was work'in out !! :redfacec: ... :smilielol5c: ... :smilielol5c:

Have a 1998 AC 300 2x4, Just installed a new carburetor. Engine starts easy but the choke RPMs are very hi and take along time (5-10 mins when cold out). After engine has warmed up choke releases and it idles and runs fine., It does no have an electric choke. The choke lever is never used and it seems like an auto choke? Long story short, how can I lower the choke rpm levels?

Also, carb came with a spare145 jet, not 100% sure what is installed. Could this impact choke RPMs?

Any help and information greatly appreciated.

      Hello there
I'm having a problem finding a quality carburetor for a 1993 Suzuki Quad Runner lt-f 250 2x4. I find a lot that have 3-4 star ratings. And all so far don't have the right throttle Cable inlet at the top. The last one I got 4 star on Amazon has a threaded cable sheath rest that could be partially drilled to work. I would prefer to get one I don't have to modify. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.

      Hey everybody,
Just curious on some opinions on my recent buy. I'm a big fan of the drivetrain and transmission in the Suzuki King Quad 300 and QuadRunner 250 4wd models. I've been wanting one of either model for quite some time, and recently picked up a really nice shape one for 1500. I just wanted to get some opinions on whether you'd be more hesitant to get something this old, if there are newer options that are comparable.
Also just keep in mind this is coming from someone not super mechanical.
      Key factors:
Engine doesn't appear to have any leaks Had to replace the battery for $100, no biggie Front left CV boot is torn (not yet sure if the axle has damage) Starts right up with the tap of the button every time (so far) Idle was a bit low and was shutting off when warm. Adjusted the idle. Now it will only shut off occasionally on a hill if I'm not rolling or giving it gas. Has a Harbor Freight Badland winch with a wireless remote (brand new, tested and working) Has brand new shocks and brakes Shifting gears and changing between 2wd/4wd/diff lock/high/low/super low all seem fine. Rides pretty good, tight steering, takes the bumps pretty good as I have pretty rough trails. Brand new tires Over 2000 miles, that's quite a bit, but it seems well cared for. Plastics are almost all there. It's really only missing a small bit of the black mud flap in the rear. Has minimal stitching in the front, and it's got the usual scuffs. All of the lights work just fine (Neutral, Reverse, high and low beams) Tested the charging system and that works
And I think that's just about all I can think of at the moment. It mostly seems to be complete and all there. I was a little hesitant about getting something that old, as parts are always a concern. Looks like most parts are available, but axles seem to be hard to get if you want something brand new. I really wanted a 2000's model but I couldn't pass up the price.
