I don't know of any brushless starter motors.. The brushless tools use an electronic circuit to turn the 12v DC into 3 phase AC for the motors in them .. That's why the higher price over brushed versions. Starter motors have very high current draw so would take quite a robust DC to 3 phase circuit and it would be very expensive to make the motor and power converter circuit.

NM is pretty..Coming at night over as you crest the mountains eastbound on US 40 the lights of Albuquerque in the distance below are beautiful. Spent some time the NRA Whittington Range. But that is flat . Prong Horns would stand like statues along the roads...LOL

Try the end bell swap before ordering a new rotor

GOOOODMOOORRRNING winter in N. America! This me a few weeks ago in Red Rock Ash pass high above Las Vegas. But winter is still here across America and Canada. I was sweating at this point; however, this was the end of our scramble as the snow was deep in the area ahead. THe sun was warm...I had a jacket ..LOL

Any competent mech or tech would know all this and realise straight away what was wrong as soon as you gave that second description of it not wanting to turn one direction. Find a competent tech and they will find the problem no trouble.

I'm going to start with a post on me. Just turned 42 last week, married and have 2 daughters who are 9 and 2 years old. Work in the automotive parts industry, regional sales mostly. Still have my 2004 Yamaha Grizzly and try to ride when I can but the past few years have been very busy whenever there is free time. Went back to school and am finishing my BA degree this May, so that'll hopefully free me up some more. Also trying to do a small extension and basement work on my house and trying to work that all out because we need some more room in our small house with 3 girls and 1 current bathroom!
