  1. the cylinder is loose and it slides freely on the piston so I dont think thats the issue..?
  2. ok. I took the head off and losened the cylinder and pulled it up a little so the rings would still stay compressed. The cylinder moved pretty freely up and down. I also shined a light down the timing chain and around the crank. no kinks.
  3. checked that it was in neutral. I kept the engine covered the whole time I was working on it and no I made sure I didnt drop any clips or anything when I had the cylinder off.
  4. nope. I was trying to turn the crank and piston to get the bottom end back in time and then connect the timing chain.
  5. ok so I was trying to turn the engine over to get it back in time... the pull-cord wont turn it over...? ok so I was trying to turn the engine over to get it back in time... the pull-cord wont turn it over...?

  8. yes I got it out after I took that pic. Everything is out except the valves. (rockers are out too)
  9. thanks. The head is separated from the cylinder. I couldn't get to the bottom of the valves if it was still attached.
  10. cam is out. I got one of the rockers out but the other one is stuck. And I still cannot get the valve compressor to reach down the valves. The new cylinder that I got is on the bike. The old one is in the recycling. Ok. how do I download it?
  11. I have out the screws and bracket holding the cam in- just dont know how to pull it. Same with the rockers. I got 90 days with the valve compressor tho and tomorrow afternoon (tho its gonna be colder here) 😞
  12. Sorry, I think I said the wrong thing somewhere 06kfx440 is correct.
  13. Didn't find a joint. Pounded it pretty hard from different angles. how do i pull the cam and rockers?
  14. I didnt take the cam or rockers out yet... If I need to, I will tho.
  15. This is what I have- the top part is the head, and I dont think it comes apart.
  16. and what is an adjuster nut? Is that what is used to adjust the valve clearance?
  17. I looked for a crack that would hint at a separation but I dont see anywhere that could come apart...
  18. So, I'm having trouble getting the tool into the hole because the valves are so far down.. help?
