  1. Basically about right. The service manual was close on what needed to be removed, just that lower bracket ended up being in the way. It was easier to cut it off and weld it back on at the time since I had access to a welder at that time.
  2. Ended up cutting off a mounting bracket on the right side of the frame to get the tank out and then welded it back on after replacing the grommets.
  3. The wheel cylinders are pretty cheap, mine were seized as well. Was easier and faster to just replace them than to try and rebuild them.
  4. The F35 demo team from Hill AFB did a flyover most of Utah yesterday as well. I wasn't able to see them from my place, I'm. further west from their flight path that they took. Definitely heard them.
  5. Definitely should be straight. OEM bowls can be pricey, a Chineseium carb would work for just the parts.
  6. Looking good. One tip on those front drums, if you haven't already, there's a little ratchet to depress to allow the shoes to collapse back in. They'll then self adjust the next time you hit the brakes.
  7. Had a similar problem on my '93 QuadRunner, the front brakes were completely shot after sitting for 20 years. I ended up replacing everything on it, except for the hard metal lines. Those cleared out with a little persuasion. The rubber lines were completely collapsing. I could have gone the used parts route, but I don't like to take a chance when it comes to brakes so I forked out for new rubber lines.
  8. For sure, It's been a journey on this one.
  9. Thanks, it's been a real challenge to get this dialed in. Turned out the carb was missing the needle jet from the factory. Took a bit to track that gremlin down.
  10. Quick and dirty video of it running decent finally. Re-jetted the carb this afternoon, got rid of the sea level jetting. It ran, just now that it's warmed up it would run rich again. Was fine when it was still cold.
  11. 87 should be fine for it, ethanol free if it's available.
  12. Bad gas can cause that pinging, even with an octane booster. I'd drain and clean the tank out, since you mentioned you were seeing a black sludge coming through.

  17. What others have said, I use partzilla and 2wheelpros to get the oem number and then scour ebay, amazon, etc. to find the best price on what I'm looking for.
  18. Here's some decent trail site info for Utah. https://utah.com/atv https://atvtrailsinutah.com/ https://stateparks.utah.gov/activities/off-highway-vehicles/ohv-publications/
  19. Looks sharp, nice work.
  20. The manual I have is a later revision, and has the turns in an appendix. Carb cleaner should do the trick to clean out the air box.
  21. That's what I thought as well, but it's running like it did when it was new at that setting.
  22. Sorry, that should be 2 7/8's out on the pilot screw.
  23. I did have to use the heat gun to soften the grommets up enough to push into the tank. Used a little dow 111 to help slide them in. Cleaned the carb and re-installed it today. Replaced a couple of the fuel lines, previous owner probably used ethanol gas in it, they were rock hard as well.
  24. Some of the third party manuals say the pilot screw is 1 7/8 turns out, my 93 LT-4WD ran way too lean and would puke it's guts out. I scored a factory manual off ebay for it, and it states 2 full turns on the pilot screw. Pulled the carb again and set to 2 turns which did the trick. Would also be worth double checking the needle and seat aren't sticking wide open.
  25. Yeah I did end up pulling the tank. Worked out for the best, the fuel line had dissolved inside the tank, and the filters were rolling around the bottom.
