  1. well its freekin crazy now ...had a blast on it yesterday late afternoon and evening ..but on the roads it wants to lift the front tires through 5 out of the 6 gears ...an the sand pit we were riding in isint real big ..so i could berely get into 3rd gear then had to slow down and make a turn ..lol..

    im hoping to get to take it to my moms in the next few days ..ware i can get it wound out some ..and see what the top speed might be ...lol..

    i bought another motor today ..that is a 2005 and still stock bore that runs good .. but is starting to get a little low on compression..

    i am going to take it apart and get it ready to start building as my 450cc big bore motor ...

    i also ordered a trans kit thats for the bigger cc motors and drag applications .. .

    im hoping to get it together by my birthday ..so ill be able to run it at the spring dirt drags just south of me about an hours drive ...

  2. i hope that river is a dry sand bed ..lol... an yes ox its a twinn ...lol..this 1 is already 392cc and its:confused: stupid :confused:crazy:confused: fast ..lol.. i know it will out run a 700 raptor with hmf pipe and programmer ..on it .:yes:.i did it sunday ..lol..:biggrin:

    im going to go look at a complete stock motor this week and see if i can buy it at a reasonable price ...then take it apart and put the 450 big bore kit in it ...and keep the 392cc motor for playing with ...lol.. :laugh:

  3. well i took the banshee riding sunday at a local sand pit ware every 1 around here rides and its alot faster than i figured it would be .. a couple guys i ride with wanted to see how fast it was ..so we did a few short drag races ..and it beat every 1 that i went up against .. it really surprised me and the guys i ride with ... :biggrin::biggrin:i also got my big bore kit in the mail:laugh::laugh::wink: here is a pic of the parts laying on the bench in my shop:confused: i took this pic with my phone so its not the best quality ..

  4. wow ..is rite ... i would tear it all down and powder coat all the steel parts .. and then paint everything else ..to coat it ... just to keep the salt from eating it away .. make shure you get a good place to dit ware they will sand blast it all and wash or dip it .. to make shure all the salt is gone b4 they coat it ... and any parts that you cand bake with the powder coat i would have them sand blasted or at least wire brush and wast then paint them with several coats of good paint .. then a couple coats of clear ...that way u will have a few layers to help keep the rust away .. for a while ... and with that you say they cost to replace there it would be wrth it in the long run that way ...

  5. if yu are still running the stage 2 cam you will need more fuel to get it to run properly ... i would up jet a few sizes and see how that does ... with the stock jets its going to be running lean with that cam and will also run hot and cause it to ware the rings out ..(the rings will get hot and will lose there temper and then not be as stiff and will let it lose compression and then it will start smoking ) burning oil way sooner than it should from normal riding ..i learned that the hard way when i was building and running several different motors in the same 400ex for different races and hill climbs and dirt drags ...i was always useing the same carb .. and needed a different jetting for each motor ..of wich i finally did after wareing out rings several times ..

  6. well i ordered the tors removal kit ..and a big bore 450cc stroker kit with the boreable sleves and with the +4mm stroker crank an rod assembly ..with the wiseco piston option im hoping to have the big bore kit by friday and ill get a pic of it on the bench for every one to see ..

  7. Our old Honda three wheeler would burn up spark plugs. It sounds like this would be a stator?

    if it was burning up the spark plug it was running way to lean and getting to hot ...ive had that happen building drag race motors an not only burning up the plugs but also melting holes in pistons ..if the plug didnt burn up first..

  8. the honda seems to be more reliable and cheaper to repair and maintain ..but i would stay away from the electric start and get 1 with a kicker ... i work on atv's here in my shop and also for a local dealer when they are backed up.. and we change starter clutches (one way gear) on the 450 honda almost as much as u would replace the break pads on it .. especially if you start and stop every 10 to 20 min every time u ride for a day or weekend ... but the oil chainge maintance also has something to do with it ..bikes that get oil changes on a regular basis dont ware the starter clutches out as much ..

WELL if it was me i would go an take a look myself and see what its doing ...if its filling with gas then the float on the carb is stuck open ..an will prolly need removed and cleaned .. then i would definatly chainge the oil..and install another new plug ..then see if it will start ..if its dumping that much gas then the oil is going to be full of gas also..
