1. A plug kit, thats a good idea Pony! I use the can of ether to inflate the tire.
2. 70, get your bike fired up, i'm on my way over! Should be there in around 30-40 hours.
3. I'm fairly new to atving and I'm going on a trip at the end of the month with a few seasoned veteran. I don't want to be "that guy" you know, the guy that doesn't bring any tools and has to rely on everyone else to help fix his bike. So my question to all you Quadcrazies is.... What to you keep in your storage and tool boxes? What I have- -Basic hand tools (screw drivers, plyers, hammer) -Socket set -Rain Gear -Can of Ether -Water proof lighter -20 ft 6000lb tow rop (because I dont have a winch yet) So what else do I need?
4. Morning Bio, Damn groundhog was right. More of that white crap last night.
5. Well I went out to the garage to to start the bike up to get it ready for a trip next month and the bike was dead. It just clicked like as if the battery was dead. I put the charger on it and gave the battery a good charge up and still click. I'm now thinking I have a bad ground some where on the bike so I pull out the tester and I have power to the + side of the starter so the ground is good. So tonight it looks as if I'm pulling the starter. It figures, right when your ready to head out on a trip something has to happen!
6. Morning Guy's. Since yesterday I got this itch and I know I won't be able to scratch it for one more month. I booked my first real ATV trip up north. Were headed to the Ca-Am Spring Jam in Perry Sound Ontario. I guess it's Canada's largest ATV Jamboree. WOOO HOOOO can't wait! All I can do for know to keep the itch at bay is to keep preping the bike to make sure it's ready for all the abuse that I'm going to put it through. If you do a search for (can am spring jam 2011) you'll see what I'm talking about.
7. Nice Bikes Bimmerdog but i'm with Bio! Way too clean, time to dirty them up a little.
8. So far so good, It's been cold and snowing the last few days. This has caused the water entering the sump to slow enough so I could install another permanent sump pump. I hate ABS glue. That crap sticks to everything.
9. This is just from last night. The backyard was dry 2 days ago.
10. I hope so Bimmer, only 41 today with more rain in the future. I ended up sleeping in the crawl space last night so I could keep an eye on the sump pump. We got another 5"s of rain last night. It would be nice to see some sun soon!
11. It's a miracle! My pain is gone! Praise the Lord! :wiggle: Morning QC
12. Morning Willypop, That sucks Bio, I'm feeling your pain!
13. Morning QC and Top of the Day Bio I can smell ATVING weather in the air. WOOO HOOO
14. Going real good for now. I'm looking for an anti mold spray just as a preventative measure. I'm also looking for some type of alarm to install on the sump pump so I know if this ever happens again. I have an alarm on the battery backup but it wasn't loud enough for us to hear in the upstairs bedroom.
15. I hear ya Bio, I live about 100' from the river in our town and I was watching it like crazy all weekend. We got lucky, we only lost a few carpets and a bunch of crap that was in the crawl space in cardboard boxes. All in all it was more work than anything. Now its all about dehumidification of the house and fan's moving air to dry the carpets that we want to keep.
16. We had a huge spring thaw with 2 days of hard rain. Melted over a foot of snow. The sump pump overheated and turned off in the night and the battery backup coulden't keep up. What a mess.
