Round 2: QUADCRAZY Most Comments Contest!
hangingon replied to quadcrazy's topic in QUADCRAZY Contests
Can I try again? I have nothing better to do now that my quads broke. I'll have more time to spend on the computer this time. -
Liquid nails and zip ties. I knew I should have bought my daughter at least a 250. Might have too trade her 90 in later.
-
My buddy looked at it and said it will be no problem to fix. It's close to the vin# on the frame so he suggested we get before and after photos incase a question ever comes up about the vin# looking like soomeone tried sanding it off. I' not sure when he will get to it I hope soon. He saide he wiil make a metal sleve for it and that it may not be as pretty as the factory look but it will be stronger.
-
Theirs a big gap there and part of the frame is cracked and the frame tube is bent to where it's not round anymore.

Skip PA move to GA and you can weld up my frame while I ride your quad around. Heck a house just sold 2 doors up from us 3br 2bt screened in porch it was a foreclosure whent for 19,000 -
I'm waiting to hear back on a frame. And my friend said he will take a look and see if he can weld it. This is the main reason I keep it on the ground were both old enough to break. Quadnut the new Yamaha YZF 450 & raptor 700 looked real good & the new BF with EPS setting on the showroom floor.

Good morning QC -
I got a friend who welds I just need to see if theirs something to weld to it looks like it may have been repaired once already it's a little bent looking and rusty I think their is some metal missing I know the quad has some used replacement parts on the front but I'm not sure if it's from a crash where the front bumper mounts the bolts are broke off in the frame and I found a few bolts loose on the front. Strut, tie rod and A frame on one side. I have 2 friends that weld. The 1 has an auto body shop & builds rail buggy frames I think he would be the best one to weld it and if it needed some new metal i'm sure he could fix it but I need to see what he says needs to be done and the cost of what he would need to repair it. I also know where there is another frame too I'll have to get a price on it.

After the news today I jacked the quad up to take the wheel off to make it easy to put the actuator back on now look what I found I glad I'm not hurt at tis point. Where the A arm mounts to the frame or more like where the A arm should mount to the frame!!!!!

Need Help with an 87 TRX70 - Carb and Choke problem
hangingon replied to GeorgeL's topic in Honda ATV Forum
Did you look at the fuel lines and make sure theirs no cracking also did you check the fuel cut off & make sure the fuel flows good. When you have to run it with choke that means you are running on the rich side. Did you end up getting a good seal between the carb & intake? Does it seem like it's running out of gas when you try and ride with out the choke on? When you say the 2 screws would it be the idle screw & fuel air mixture screw? Is the air filter clean. Has it got the stock exhuast pipe & airfilter? My daughters quad would run and die it has an electric choke but once it died it would not start unless I removed the air filter and hold my hand over the carb for choke. Found out a vacum cap had come off the carb. after i repulld the carb and took it all apart and put it back togather I remember it had a vacum cap that was now missing that was the problem. So look close at the carb. -

I would say your welcome but thats not good news to be welcome for. I hope it's not that bad for you! he worst part was seeing all the new quads in the showroom. It's a Yamaha and Kawasaki dealer. By the way 1qt of kawasaki motor oil 5 bucks and change. I paid more at wal-mart. -
Found out today my actuator is not going to be my problem. The guy at kawasaki said it would be in the diff. I've not looked up the parts but their is a part inside the diff that should let it free spin & he stated it is more an likely seized to the shaft and the fix is replacing the shaft an the engagement part. Price for the 2 parts is over 400.00 so I will be driving in 4wd for along time.

GT Engineering Students Need Your Input!
hangingon replied to GT_Engineer's topic in General ATV Discussion
Here is something to think about my truck is a quad cab Dodge Dakota the bed is only 5'3" so their is not much too work with. If I load my prairie on my truck you can't close the tailgate and it's 2 to 3 inches from hanging off the tailgate I don't mean the rack or hitch I'm talking about the rear tires. -

02 kawasaki prairie 650 & 2000 e-ton 90 The 90 goes in the truck load it myself the 650 goes on the trailer just drive it on myself No! I would not want something thats going to add weight and take up space in my truck bed. No No more than a set of ramps they work good their lite weight and won't cost an arm & leg. no -

hangingon replied to hangingon's topic in General Talk - Anything Goes!
No but I had my gun with me while I was outside. They were not going to take me hostage or my trails. I never heard if they were caught. Monday I got to see a deer and Harion or what ever their called big bird that hangs around water. & today we have three men on the lose and I don't know if it's drugs robbery or what. The last time was we had someone hidding was for shooting a guy in the car with him that he gave a ride to the store. Got in an fuss over buying beer so one shoot the other in the head and then ran into the woods. -

I'm up for the ATV park living. I heard today the US postal service is talking about cutting saturday's and only run mon. thru fri. due to cutbacks. -
I had the door up looking at the quad and thinking it's cooled off and a ride would be nice. Till the police rode by my house and then backed up and advised us we should get inside our house. The police were in a car chase and crashed the guys right at our neighbor hood 3 men jumped ot an took off on foot to the woods where I ride. Lucky me!!!!

Don't feel like your alone we just listed our car last wed. and the buyer will be here around noon this wed. to get it. This is going to allow us to keep our house for at least 2 years. My wife has alot of medical problems and her doctors told her she need to apply for disability so we have roughly 2 years to get it done. she has been out of work a little over 2 years and we have reached the end of the money. I hate to have to sell the car but you do what you have to do. -
may be helpful to those who may not know!fuel related
hangingon replied to hangingon's topic in General Talk - Anything Goes!
I don't think it would be a safe ride on my kawai the steering is a hand full with it beng in 4wd. It also has bais ply tires. -
some times you can cut corners but their are times you need to spend the money for the best out come. Just like people buying the off brand quads and thinking it's a better deal being new over buying a used name brand. My chainsaw runs the highest grade fuel so thats what goes in it. I run 89 in my quad and to be honest I don't know what grade Kawasaki say to run. I need to find out. So don't let people get to ya! It's your money spend it how you want too! Just like I used to race rc cars and I woud buy race ready buggies an still do upgrades even now the rc buggies I have are race level their better built handle better so the extra cost is worth it. But some of my friends don't understand it until they have to start buying parts for theirs. End the end they have more in their low cost buggies .
