  1. Update on this. I broke a tap in the hole that was missing a stud. It was stripped out so I drilled a bigger hole and tried to tap it. Broke the tap and when trying to shatter tap to get out it broke out the hole. Not getting anything in that spot. The broken stud I center punched it but the drill didn't like the center. It moved over and messed up that hole. Guy at work gave me a suggestion. In which case it worked.
  2. Wonder how hard it would be to get everyone to get together at a riding ground. Maybe a get together once or twice a year. Different location every time. Would give everyone a chance at being able to get to some of them. Like setup a weekend where the Quad Crazy members would get together. A Quad Crazy Invasion!
  3. Decided to get dressed and went out and took a look at it. The stud on the bottom is missing completely. There is one in the top that looks like it's broken off but when I felt it I can't say it's broken. I don't know how to explain it but it's completely smooth. Kind of like the rounded end of the stud that is barely sticking out. I'll have to pull the quad out tomorrow and see if I can figure out how to get it out.
  4. I couldn't see any studs when I originally looked. I'll look at it tomorrow after work.
  5. I don't have pics right now. I'm talking about the bolts or studs that hold the exhaust pipe to the cylinder.
  6. I went riding Sunday and I kept hear my exhaust get loud from time to time but couldn't pin it down. But just before we left I found where the loudness was coming from. My exhaust flange was hanging down on the pipe. I have to look again but I'm not sure if the bolts broke or studs or what ever. Or maybe they fell out. I'm wondering if someone knows the size if they fell out so I can replace them.
  7. Well to give him some help. He needs a set of headlights for what ever they are to be made for so he can get size measurements. If he doesn't have access to a set of the lights in question then how is he to make the design.
  8. Happy Birthday Oxidized Black Hope you have a good one. Hope you get a good gift.
  9. When you have the carb off and the bowl off. Have the float and needle installed and hold it upright like it would be on the quad. Now push the float up and make sure the needle is moving up into the carb. And when you let go of the float the needle should come back down. The needle may not be stuck but maybe the little tab on the float needs adjusted. It may not be pushing the needle up far enough to stop the flow of fuel.
  10. When you had it off did you take it apart or did you just have it soaking in carb clean? If it was just soaked in carb clean you wouldn't have solved a stuck float. To fix a stuck float it will require taking the bowl off. Taking the bowl off isn't advisable if you have no clue what your doing in there. If you have no clue how to do the work found someone that does know about the float.
  11. I don't get to set any adjustments. The company I work for build Caterpillar parts and John Deere parts and they powder coat them. I could find out what the oven is set at though. When I go back to work next week.
  12. That's what I was thinking. I wasn't sure about ATV plastics.
  13. I was wondering if ATV plastic would hold up and not melt in the extreme heat dryer for powder paint. I don't know the temp in the dryer but I know it's hot enough that the metal parts we paint can burn you when it comes out if you tried to hold it. They don't stick rubber plugs in the holes that can't be painted and it isn't melted. I was thinking if it could hold up to the heat I was gonna take my plastics in and get a nice shiny coat of black. I don't think I want the John Deere green or Caterpillar yellow. Not sure if I'll do it if I could but I'm just thinking about it and wondered.
  14. That's my guess that the float is stuck. But it should run out an overflow if it's stuck.
  15. Usually stamped by the oil fill area I think. Funny though. I have a Suzuki LT185 Quad that says 1100cc. Took about 1500cc of oil to be full.
  16. I used my old LG Ally Android powered phone. I had a speedo app on it before I got my new phone so it still worked through GPS. In about a block I had my Yamaha Warrior 350 up into 6th and up to 49 mph. Was still gaining speed but had to slow down. Was coming up to the Stop sign so I figured the block was long enough. I believe I read the top speed is around 60 to 65 for the Warrior.
  17. Wait a minute I wasn't told about dues. Quadnut20 would you be so kind to take care of them for me? lol
  18. I like what your doing PWD. I looked at your site.
  19. Sorry Quadnut but I knew what the Garage was for. I meant why did Oxidized say he needed a garage. I know now.
  20. Why do you need a heated garage? I wish the guy I ride with wouldn't have been busy today. He didn't have time to ride so we didn't go out to Brushy Ridge. Now I feel like the pics are rubbing it in my face.
  21. Without looking at a pic I can tell you it's a 150. If it says 149cc it's a 150. Motor manufacturers don't use uneven numbers if they don't have to.
