Just brought the polaris to the shop...just for a once over and to install the front chain and then i can finally put the plastics on..THEN SHE IS DONE
-
check your shifting linkage...i have a similar problem with my 94 polaris... if you do hear a grinding when you go into reverse or any gear and you need to force it you need to lower you rpms...there is a screw on your carb that allows you to do that

agreed^^^..when you say you can not pull start it do you mean it does not start when you pull it or you cant pull the cable at all?

welcome to quadcrazy. What kind of atv are you looking for. utility (work horse) or sport(racing). what size engine? how much do you want to spend?
-
i would have to agree with swampcat. warn is a very popular brand winch i like it and i have not had problems with mine they are good, reliable i have them on all my atvs. The bad is that they are really expensive 439$ for a 3000xt winch bit high.
Now for Gorilla it is another good brand name and good atv winch for that matter. very reliable i have heard many of good things about their winches. and the prices are very reasonable. The same winch (3000lb) would cost you about half a warn and it comes with a lot of accessories.
Here is the gorilla atv website they sell both there winches and warn winches
