Hi I just recently had a full engine rebuild that’s all fine but the battery is not charging so the mechanic Said it’s the stator or the rectifier  so just bought them and it’s still not charging the battery. What else can it be.

It could be that the battery was drained and is now bad, I would get it tested. But more than likely if it was fine before, your mechanic left off a ground or something else. I would start testing wires for voltage.

I think you have to go through all of the wiring with a tester as well as make sure all wires, plugs, grounds are properly reconnected. Especially because it’s a rebuild a wire could have gotten hit someplace.  Second if the bike runs take the battery off and run the bike and test for voltage on the terminal wires. Lastly I would reinstall the old rectifier if you still have it and try that.  Look for fuses etc.  Aside from that you will have to look into the engine to verify that the stator is working correctly and all of the components were installed properly.  Get the bike back and try those few things and see what happens.

Hey guys, so I've been messing with my quad, and between all the starts, the battery is dead. Is there a certain way to charge these? Can I just throw a trickle charger on it and call it a day? can i also jump it like a normal car with a battery pack or is that to much voltage

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?

I am trying to rebuild an engine for a '97 Kawasaki Prairie that I recently picked up. There is one head bold that just won't let go. Nothing I do seems to make a difference. I have been putting penetrating lube on it for two days straight and I am afraid it is going to break on me. What is your best advice for getting the sucker out? I have tried a rechargeable impact, a pneumatic impact and penetrating lube.

      Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 – the engine keeps stalling after running for about 10–15 minutes. I’ve checked the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines, but can’t seem to find the root of the problem. It starts up just fine, but then loses power suddenly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with this model/year? Would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips you’ve tried that worked. Thanks in advance for your help!
