Like to revive this tread if possible. New member here and live in NC.

Uhwarrie is really great! Been many times on everything from horseback, jeep, quad and bike. Trails are rocky and it's definitely a workout for any bike. (Cr250r braaaaaaap) fun but a chore to ride. Quads are the way to go for sure, easily able to do most trails with a few very challenging ones if you like. I had a blaster and 300ex several times there and it's always a great place.

$5 a day fee to ride all you can plus it being a national forest u can camp anywhere you want freely.

It has grown in popularity over the years so weekends are crowded and can be hectic at times.

Rain plays a factor as well. With the soil type it turns muddy quick.

Dry days are dusty! eye and mouth protection is a must!

With that I hope to spark some interest and will be happy to meet up for any adventures!!!

I normally go all the way in the park past the shooting range and start on 89 at wolf den trailhead. That way it's more of a loop to get back to the tow vehicle. Last time I was there the trails were not marked clearly or driver error got me tangled into some difficult trails that my poor 2stoke blaster wasn't ready for. Lol. The hill on what I think was dickey bell was lots of loose rocks and it just wasn't possible for me to make it up on that thing without letting it go for a few flips back down by itself. As crazy as it seems I look back and miss the experience it left me with but at that time I was ready to just live right there and not move another inch.😫 finally made it to the top and the trail head wasn't far from there.

But I have seen them doing a lot of maintenance in the off season on their Facebook page with new guardrails and more markers on the trees so hopefully it won't be an issue any longer.

The main gravel rds are off limits to the bikes and quads. So that's why I try to stick with a loop and try to avoid backtracking so I get to see as much as I can. Rangers frown on the riding of gravel roads and penalties can be steep.

Wayehutta isn't too bad. It's never been crowded any time I've been there. Last time I went, which was earlier this year it seemed rockier than usual. Rattled a few things loose on my 85 Big Red, but my 05 400EX held up just fine.

      Good day everyone!
I am pretty new to ATV/UTV/Small engine repairs and would like input on your absolute must-have specialty tools for maintenance and repairs. Aside from the obvious wrenches and sockets, what are some more specialty type tools you use for troubleshooting? I don't plan to open a repair shop or anything, I just do this as a hobby. Looking forward to your responses!

The battery on my Big Bear drops completely down in the battery compartment nothing sticks up to grip too, plus there is only 1/8" clearance along the sides, no way to get a grip on it to pull up out of battery compartment. I thought about putting a piece nylon strap under the battery and leaving enough up each side to give me something to pull it up out ff the battery compartment or using a big zip tie around the battery.
Any others have any ideas or have had this issue.

I’m shopping around for an enclosure for my Hisun 500 and have already come across a few different brands. I’ll put together a post soon with everything I’ve found and some links. For those who already have one, how do you like your setup? I’m especially curious about options that include Hisun 500 soft cab enclosure upper doors since I’ve heard double-stitching and good fitment make a big difference. Ideally, I’d like detachable doors and a zippered rear window so it’s easy to open things up during the summer.

Hi, I am new to  this forum and I am happy to be here.  I purchased a Yamaha 350 Big Bear without a title and I cannot find a Vin number to find out what year it is.  I am hoping someone here can help me identify this atv. I checked on the main frame near the front A-arm left side found nothing.  I checked up near the radiator and found nothing.  Where else should I look?  See image below.
