That’s a good idea.   The relays go bad over time.   That is a newer bike so I’m a little surprised but anything’s possable.

Ignition switches go bad all the time.  Especially when they are in bad locations.    Polaris was putting them on the right side of the bike in front of the gas tank. Not sure on the outlaw but could be just wet and oxidized inside.

Need to close this thread!

So I had two issues- one was a dead cell and the other was the kill switch.  Replaced battery  and swapped out the switch for a 7.99 autozone waterproof switch.   Sodiered it back and glued it to the original plastic. Works great again.   Also swapped all brake shoes out and it stops again but the rear brakes on this Polaris really blow.

Yes I just got a 1998 polaris xplorer 400 4x4. Ran fine after hauling then died. Cleaned carb and put new fuel filter, hose, and new battery in. Starts 3 out of 10 times but will only run for a short time. Any suggestions?

The battery was gone when I bought the 90 .There are 7 wires 3 red 1 white ,1 black , 1 green and 1blue  . 1 red and 1 white are connected with connector like it`s suppose to go to the battery . I think it`s called an eye connector it`s round and has a hole in the center . So it can be bolted to the battery  and the same with the black wire  the one  black 1 has a connector on it that looks like it goes to the battery . that leaves me with 2 red wires , 1 green wire and 1 blue wire !!! Can anyone help me with a diagram of how the wiring goes to the battery on my 2002 Polaris Scrambler 90 ??? Please help me with this my e-mail address is jakehd2008[email protected] Pl

Does anybody know how to determine which of the 2 key blanks fits my ATV. I have called several dealers, and Polaris and nobody seems to know which key fits which ATV. I thought with the ViN number they could look it up, but apparently not. I hate to spend the money at Polaris for a key blank and then pay a locksmith to cut it, but the locksmiths around me don't have the Polaris keys in stock. I find them on Amazon and places, but I can't tell which key blank is right for my ATV. Any help would be appreciated.

New to pressure testing a atv but have done 100s of saws etc. was going to order clutch puller and flywheel puller andCheck seals. Also notice that there is a clutch alignment tool, do I need this if i pull clutch?
