Morning All,  Wondering if anyone has had any success using aftermarket carburetors on the smaller ATVs?  Picked up a couple Arctic Cat DVX90s over the weekend (2006 & 2008), and one of them has an aftermarket carb that needs to be replaced (it's missing the brass barb for the fuel line ).  Both are the same Kymco power plant, but different frame/body.

I swapped carburetors between the machines to test opreation.  Both ran great, and seem to manage the electronic choke properly.

Am I better off to buy the replacement carb from AC ($250), or try an aftermarket?  Part of me wants a manual choke.....

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Aftermarket carbs are a much repeated topic here at Quadcrazy and will be a talked about topic forever! Many times here we’ve spoke about them and the general census is that they are not very good.  One of our memebers @JacobSlabach has mentioned that they needed to be adjusted way out from the spec position and has gotten them to work.   But the way I see it, if the quad is worth it then put an oem carb on. I always check eBay for a used oem.

I would agree with @Frank Angerano, Aftermarket just dont give the full performance that oem carbs do- but they will work.  I put them on bikes I plan to flip and so far, have had success with them.  If you are looking for a cheap fix, go aftermarket, but its kinda hit-or-miss with china.......no offense..tired over it GIF by Desus & Mero

I just bought a 1984 Suzuki LT185 ATV and am looking for the OWNER’S manual. ( not a service manual)
I contacted Suzuki Canada but they have no paper or digital copies in their archives.
Does anyone possibly have a digital copy they’d be willing to share?

      Hello there
I'm having a problem finding a quality carburetor for a 1993 Suzuki Quad Runner lt-f 250 2x4. I find a lot that have 3-4 star ratings. And all so far don't have the right throttle Cable inlet at the top. The last one I got 4 star on Amazon has a threaded cable sheath rest that could be partially drilled to work. I would prefer to get one I don't have to modify. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I am trying to diagnose a no spark issue with my 02 Big Bear 400 and I am really hoping it is not a CDI.  I have done the test on the stator and I believe that is faulty.  I ordered a new aftermarket one from a the jungle website and it tested bad right out of the box so I am waiting for a different one to arrive from an ATV parts supplier.  I started looking out of curiosity at CDI units and it seems if it is for a big bear you are SOL.  Kodiaks, no problem.  Big Bear. No such luck.
