The west has gotten hammered with snow this year, will be good for the spring thaw to refill the lakes. Lake Tahoe already has reported the lake is up and the snow has not yet melted. Hopefully this will also bring up Lake Meade a few feet.

Yup, it's been a pretty good year out my way snow wise. And yes, hopefully all this white stuff will help replenish a few lakes & reservoirs. However, flooding is now a concern as well. And we've already had a few mus slides in my area, so I sure hope it doesn't warm up to fast.

Thanks for watch'in the video Mike Explorer Guy, I appreciate it !!!

I think there is a big storm going on in the mid west right now.   I seen something on the news this am. Talking about 2 plus feet of snow????   Relentless winter.

That's what they are forecasting, more snow. And since this video was made (30 Mar) we've had two pretty good storms come thru. Bad part is thou, they have been warm ones with lots of rain. And where I live we've only had rain & where I ride, some snow, but mostly rain. So I'm hoping I can still get up there in a few days. There's a ski resorts south of me thou that had received 22 inches of new snow as of yesterday & another 17 inches over night ... so yeah, relentless for sure .... WOO HOO !!!

Thanks for watch'in the video Frank Guy ... THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.

So my latest wheeler is a 04 Yamaha Bruin 350. It had all the wires cut from the stator and a few others and no wiring harnesses. The previous owner had them all twisted together and the bike neutral light would come on it would start (hard to start) but then would idle fine. It would die when you gave it gas so I soldered all the wires together and went on inspecting assuming it was a carb issue. Later after the carb was cleaned and adjusted I got this (see video). The bike would want to die anytime you gave it gas and there would be this horrible knocking sound but only when you gave it gas. I was worried it was the rod bearing and electrical still messed up somehow.
Upon further inspection of the wires coming from the stator there was a W/R wired to R and a R wired to W/R. I switched them so they matched per the service manual (W/R to W/R and R to R) and the bike started right up, idled and revved out fine and the knocking noise disappeared. This was the problem the whole time. It was just really hard to tell bc the oem wires coming from the stator were so brown and dirty I could barely make out which was which.
Where the hell did that knocking noise go? and what was causing it?? Just racking my brain trying to figure out what it was so I know for next time but I can't make sense of it... Really thought it was the rod bearing but it didn't make the noise at idle so I was questioning it...Luckily I kept searching!!

      Hello all,
New member here and a newly inherited Honda Rancher ES 350.  I am here in hopes of a robust How-To section or at least some knowledgeable members that don't mind having their brains picked.

Hope all had a good Memorial day weekend!
