I bought this four-wheeler used for my son's birthday last week. It wasn't running when I got it but after a new battery and some tinkering it has been running for 5 days probably 8-10 hours of run time.
Today after 1 hour My son wanted to wash it, I showed him how to be careful not getting water near the engine. We were careful but after we washed it and let it dry the motor starts but the transmission slips and won't really go forward. Even if I pick the back of the four wheeler up the wheels only go forward a tiny bit. It's as if something is slipping inside. But it worked fine right before the wash.
Not sure what brand. I was told it was 90 cc's the VIN is attached. Is it 90 or 110ccs?
No air filter came with it. Using a some old stockings until I figure out what air filter to order.
My son is so bummed so I want to get it back up to speed but also teach him how to work on it.

Found some interesting news online when I googled Yamaha yesterday. Not sure when this went down, but Yamaha bought a percentage of Linhai (a Chinese manufacturing company) and are providing technology for Scooters, and more importantly for this forum, ATV's.
Seeing as how not everyone can AFFORD the crazy prices that have skyrocketed over the past 15 years. Yamaha and Linhai are trying to produce a more affordable model by manufacturing out of CHINA! I found a pretty substantial savings at RidersWholesale.com over what they want you to pay at the local Yamaha Dealer.
Just spreading the word. Let me know what you think about this. You can check out the Technical Specs Here

Picked up a 98 Quadrunner 500 for a song. It's in rough shape, but funny enough it turned over and fired on starter fluid. Fuel lines are rotted to snot and the inlet tubes to the carb are rusty. I have a rebuild kit for the mikuni, but I'm wondering if anyone has used any of those alternatives on Ebay or Amazon that say they fit?

I am not sure what is wrong with my King Quad. I had a new carburetor put in 6 months ago, just replaced the fuel pump and added an in-line fuel filter in. I have been trying to fix this quad for a while now and do not know what is wrong with it. It idles fine and runs great as soon as it is fired up, you can Rev it and stay in first gear with 100% power. As soon as I drive 10 feet it looses all power, I mean it is sputtering and doesn't move at all, but when I let off the gas after it sputters it idles fine. I will attach a video of what it is doing.

Hello All,
I have a 1999 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4 trying to get fixed up so my grandson can go out in the woods with me.
We have owned it over 10 years. It got harder to start, until it finally would not. Replaced the carb. Right afterwards, it started and ran nicely, but after turning it off, would not restart. Tonight I used starting fluid and ran, then died. Adjusted the idle up a little, used more starting fluid and ran great. It idled about 15 minutes. Turned it off, and restarted. Ran it around the yard about 5 minutes. Turned it off, and would not restart.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.
