Rejetting is necessary when there is a change in the air to fuel mixture. It can be with altitude or it can be with changing parts like intake and exhaust components. Now that I have this written I think that txduggan was being a smart as* and this makes me look like a dumbass but I gonna leave it anyway. :dammit:

I wasn't being a smart as*.....

I was sharing what what minute engine knowledge I have! ;)

And only because I am not engine-inclined, I still believe rejetting for climate change is a little suspect....

I'm sure there are areas where this could be valid; Alaska comes to mind......but I still think it's a design flaw if there's a need to rejet due to climate.

I like to learn at least 1 thing new every day, so I'm all ears!

Seriously!

I consider that being part of dialing in the carb. No, I didn't say it. You mean you guys can't tell what I'm thinking?

I consider it part of the "operation" as well....BUT!!!! Not to many people think about it....

Like I said before.....NO ONE can Jet a Carb online.....Lets all keep that in mind when Giving advice about Jetting...All motors are Different,,,,Everyone lives at different Elevations/Climates,,,, One mistake can Ruin a motor...(Ive done it)

Sooo,,,That being said....IMO,,,,,if you want to play with your Carb.....Either Take the Time to Read up on it(Actually find a Nice Tech. Site or good book, or Friend to walk you through it) or take it to a Mechanic....100 Bucks to pay someone is Less than a Grand for a new top end....

And this is why I dont tell anyone how to Jet their Carb....

I totally agree that changing jetting for a climate change is a little wild sounding and the only thing I can think is a very highly tuned race bike or if in climate they mean because of altitude. I also like to learning as much as possible and am always open to hearing anything new.

I suspect this bike may have a bad speed limiter. The part number for is 4060204. I found this one on ebay but it has a part number that is 1 number different. (4060203). It has the same LR44-2 and says its for a 94 Magnum 425. Will this one work on my machine or do I absolutely have to have the 4060204? Your advice would be appreciated. Thank you

Have a high heat issue on the right side panel on my 2021 cforce 400, as complained about by the wife.
My heat gun shows after 15 minute ride in ambient 91 deg temps;  690 degrees on front end of muffler close to entry pipe and 375 on exit side of muffler.  The right side plastic (where wife's leg would touch) was showing 175 degrees.  This is rediculous!.
As I understand the muffler has a built in catalytic converter which obviously kicks off high heat particularly at front end of muffler, but the heat is atrocious.
What is everyone doing about this problem?  Is there a replacement muffler to eliminate this issue?

Is there any way to mod an Outlaw 50 to increase the speed? The size is perfect just would like a little more top end speed. Thanks
