raptor 350 shocks

i jus traded for a 2005 raptor 350, and the back shock is very bouncy i guess u could say

but im like 165 and i sit and it flexes down very far, and i caught like a foot of air and it bottoms out

can neone help me with this??

ok do u need the shock stiffer or softer?? if it bottoms out then ya need it stiffer. there should be a screw on the left side of the shock. take a flat head screw driver and tighten it. then test it and adjust as needed

were exactly on the shock is it??

it should be around the resevoir. wat year is the rappy? it may not have an adjustment

its an 05, i found sum specs it says its gotta treaded preload adjust ment w e that is lol

i dont know that much on sport atvs but look in the tool bag that comes with the atv and see if their is a spanner wrench inside..

alright man, your quad SHOULD have a black knob that is right above the resovoir. turn it. if it doesnt have the black knob then you have to take the shock off ur quad and take some vice grips and tighten it up.

at the top of the spring it looks like their are threads and u see those 2 silver things,,, i think u use those to tighten it.... but not totally sure

i didnt get a tool bag cuz it wuz used but wut is a spanner wrench??

and my resevoir doesnt have a place for a black knob theres no way one couldve been on there

can you see the sliver rings on ur shock? adjust the bottom one with a vicegrip. if u cant get to it then you'll have to take the shock off.

sorry for all the misconceptions, yamaha changed alot with the rappys supension bewteen 04 and 06.

could the shock jus b worn out? b cuz the guy b 4 me wuz 265 lbs, so if shocks get worn out that may b y

it might are the ring all the way down compressing the spring?? also how many mile did the guy put on it..ruffly??

i would tighten her up and see if it works out for you. keep in mind shocks are expensive these days even for a stock one

Look into finding a company that revalves stock shocks. Save alot of money and get better than stock. A big guy probably just wore it out.

Look into the GT thunder rear linkage. Night and day difference. That's my next purchase.
