GOOD Morning Family Reunion Attendees...Yes its time to get ready for that Family reunion...I need to loose aa few more pounds OMG!

But plan ahead. Watch old family videos, go through old photo albums so you know who everybody is or was ??

Get your spiel set up:

Why aren't you married...I have not met the right guy yet

Do you go to church every Sunday?....yes my Priest remembers our family. I have a picture of my priest and me to show.

Do you live by yourself? ........Yes, I work from home so I don't like distractions.

Go over to where the old men are sitting.  Talk to the old men. They love to talk about guns and fishing and it keeps me away from nosey Aunts who want to question me or "fix ' me up with some guy.

And remember don't drink too much.  I talk too much when I drink and tell things you shouldn't tell.

When they square dance partner with Uncle Clyde as he is a good square dancer.

Bueno...GoooD Morning Puerto Vallarta...A Mexican Engineer and I drove there from Tepic, Mex. on a weekend.   His wife and kids lived there. I stayed in a Hotel that was on the Beach.  Had my hair braided, had my photo taken ( they live on Tip$$) and  went surfing. Beaches are very clean.   It's a great tourist town.  Marlin Fi$hing i$ great there if you can afford it.

A White shirt cop stopped me said I ran a red light. ( White shirt police are tourist friendly ...LOL..and speak English.)  . The police wanted to search me or go to police sub station.

Fortunately i had my Mexican friend the Engineer with me.   He got them to just take my US driver  license and a give me a ticket.

My hotel Concierge told me that he would go to police station and pay the  ticket and get my drivers license..  He said it was not wise for me to go.

He did pay the ticket but could not get my driver's license.  He said they probably sold it.

The people in Puerto Vallarta, as in most of Mexico, are friendly and honest.

I had to pee while we were driving. My friend pulled up to a private residence. We walked up and he knocked on the door.  He explained to the lady ho lived there.  She did not hesitate and smiled at me as she let me in to use her house bathroom.  Oh MY!

I always have a driver when in Mexico.   That was only time I drove a little.  Sometimes my driver would make me sit in the rear so pan handlers in Guadalajara would not see me and pester him for money.  One time my driver did not arrive to pick me up.  Finally, after several hours another man showed up to take me to the job.  He was in an ICA truck so I got in.  He said my driver hit a chicken and was in jail until he made restitution to the owner. You got to laugh!

Good Morning Withlacoochee State forest   The ATV trails in the Croom area are great...Some water. Located in central Florida close to west coast off I 75 it is great for  a family event.

Day trip to the beach in St Petersburg.  Visit the Citrus Winery (Probably the only Citrus winey in the US) about two blocks from the beach.  Try the Category 5 wine...My clothes get loose!

GOOOOdDD Morrnnning Key Largo, LA.   I love Key West Little too Woke sometimes.  But Key Largo Is my favorite.  Soooo Relaxing . I stay on the Gulf side with the beach right at my at my cottage. My cottage was not airconditioned.    Pack light; 24/7 swim suit apparel.    Paddle boarding and sail Boating is easy access. John Penta camp SP is just down the road.   Summertime is off season and a lot of fun.

Plus if hurricanes visit (late summer October is worse)  it is much easier to evacuate from Key largo than Key west...Been there, done that got caught one time in Key West.

HMMM...2022 Ian  bad bad. I was caught in Nicole and by luck she went around Key West and we saw quadrant two side wind and rain.  But even that the waves were across the road as I drove north.

Hurricanes are bad but Tornadoes in the Mid West!!! OMG  They scare me to death.

Key Largo  is beautiful.  I stay there as it is easy access to Homestead Nasar track.

GOOOD Morning Chief LOgan State park WV....talk about planning your family / Friends ATV get -it-on fall weekend  This is a great spot.  The park trails have a connector to the Hatfield-McCoy trail.

I like State parks as they offer Camping as well as Lodges and Cabins.  I mean after riding all day I am sweaty and ready for the Hot Tub

Here is a  pic From H-Mc trail...

Being a struggling State economically they very aggressive in Tourism   They have thousands of ATV and SXS trails on State parks.

However, Non Ethanol fuel is spotty in WV...I only run Non Ethanol gas in small motors...So I transport fuel a lot.

However, now is the time to plan the fall outing...summer is waning!

Smart keeping ethanol out of the small engines. I do the same but it's getting almost impossible to find ethanol free gas. I have an OLD small plane that needs ethanol free AND 100 octane. Most airports sell it but they have no competition so $5 or more per gallon

Posted

Exxon and Chevron around here both have it, but they claim its not an Exxon or Chevron product not sure where it comes from. Its about 1.00 a gallon more and it only comes in 87 octane have not seen any 100 octane at any gas stations.

I found a local source for 93 octane ethanol free. It runs ok on 93 but when traveling I'm stuck buying the airport gas. Carrying 5 gallon jugs behind my seat scares me. It's ok in the back of a pickup but behind my seat 😰

Goood Morning Montana!  I love that state.  I started out from Kalispell and drove north through the best-montana-atv-trails-1280x800.thumb.jpg.13341c9be50212e0b1c539b8442139dc.jpg Nat park.  The roads had just opened.  and went to Great falls and eventually Missoula.  Varied landscape but stunning . I saw a lot of ATV signs but i was working. Here is a map of just a few ATV  OHV.

Good Morning Mt Rainier,WA...."I don't think we are in Florida Toto."   Beautiful lush valleys and trails this time of year. It was just awesome .  Spread out  our blanket and lets just enjoy.  No Spanish Bayonet or Sawtooth Palmetto jabbing me just lush flowers.  There are ATV trails around but I was just hiking.  image.jpeg.909e43270d99c7d4928070a44fdbd649.jpegimage.thumb.jpeg.a002387ae376742dd36515eecb684812.jpeg

Snow Shoe Rails to Trails held their annual chicken BBQ event. Food sold out in one hour! (400 dinners) They had a drive through option for those who were not riding.  Weather was warm, but cooled off decently at night. Was good to finally get out camping and riding.

Another great weekend at Snow Shoe Rails to Trails for their annual pig roast. Thursday and Friday nights were quite cool at night. We run a buddy heater in the tent to keep warm. One of our members brought a drone and was able to get some cool video. Ill have to put it together and upload it to Youtube. They were sold out of food by 2:15pm. Trailhead was packed and they had to use two overflow areas for parking. I took a few snapshots from the drone video. One is a railroad viaduct that a few years ago we were able to cross it on our quads. It has been closed for a few years now.

The Wife and I are heading back out to Leota
      http://www.upnorthtrails.org/trails/leota-trail.html
Why Leota you might ask,and not somewhere new?
Cause there are lots of trails to ride, and my old as* has to get familiar with the trails so I do not take a wrong turn.
...and Yes I already took a few wrong turns...getting better tho.

Have A Great and safe weekend everyone!
