Can someone explain to me how the choke works on a Kingquad? I think (since the cable is not installed / rusted) it's keeping my engine from running right. I may need the whole new plunger assembly but can't find one online. If I can fix the cable, all I would need is a new spring.

ajmboy, that style of chokin is very common for the older style Honda bikes, which would have a metal plate that would try to block off (choke) the air suply in to the motor making it rich.

the other method is to have a choke cable that pulls back a choke plunger that opens a small passage directly from the fuel bowl to the innlet manifold, where a small amount of straight fuel can enter the intake manifold and richen up the fuel mix.

this plunger only has a very small spring to return the plunger to the off possision.

it is common for either the cable to seaze up with rust of mud, or the choke plunger its self to become clogged up from dirt (that comes from the cable...) and seazes up the choke plunger.

normaly on the ltf300 the choke cable can be lubed up and will work again, but the spring can be so rusty and yucky that it is best to replace it.

right now if you have the entire choke plunger removed???

you have extra air flowing from the hole where the choke plunger would be living and blocked off by the black plastic cable holder that screws in to the carbi.

this air is making the bike alot leaner but also making the bike idle much higher, and most likely hard to start.

is there a suzuki shop that can order the cable and new spring for you anywhere there?

This 2006 ArticCat dvx400 didn't have a reverse cable. I got one and am wondering how it routes? If someone has a dvx400, could post a pic of there reverse cable routing, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have a 2007 kingquad 450 fuel injection. I try to start it with the hand crank and almost flip over the quad. I have taken the hand crank off and cleaned it but this did not fix the problem. I believe there is a decompression valve that is supposed to engage when pulling it over by hand. How can I check this?

      Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 – the engine keeps stalling after running for about 10–15 minutes. I’ve checked the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines, but can’t seem to find the root of the problem. It starts up just fine, but then loses power suddenly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with this model/year? Would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips you’ve tried that worked. Thanks in advance for your help!

      I wanted to share a successful workaround for a "no-spark" issue on a 2009 LT-A400.
This is specifically for cases where the CDI has been diagnosed as faulty, but the age or condition of the machine makes the cost of a brand-new OEM unit hard to justify.
Note: This modification compromises the factory “no-start” circuits.
On some malfunctioning CDI units the internally damaged circuitry is only partial.
Feeding full time power to the Parking Brake pin, the unit is triggered to bypass the internal fault and produce a healthy consistent output to the Ignition coil.
      The Modification
See the second diagram attached below for the wiring specifics.
      The Result:
The machine has clocked over 1,000km since this repair and is still running strong with no ignition dropouts.
      ⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING ⚠️
Please be aware that this modification compromises the factory safety "no-start" circuits.
The machine will now start in gear. The safety interlock involving the handbrake is no longer functional. The machine can move unexpectedly if the starter is pressed while in gear. Proceed at your own risk. If you sell the machine or let others ride it, ensure they are fully aware that these factory safety buffers have been removed.
