Shrunkettes (The mini off-road all purpose truck)

These are some UTVs (named Shrunkettes) my Dad sold as a distributor back in the early 80's. They received a lot of attention but they didn't sell very well. I think the base model was approx $3500. The Deluxe model $6500. No wonder they didn't sell!!! Even though today's UTV's go for approx $14-16k.

My Dad had one base model and two Deluxe for display. They were neat little all terrain vehicles. The base model ripped!!! Too bad they were before their time and so damn expensive back in the day.

The Company went belly up and they are no more. I made the PDF from the last known brochure.

Hi Ajmboy.

Unfortunately the pdf file is too large to post on this forum. I will try to load the pdf's of the Shrunkettes on another site that doesn't require a login.

Below are some screenshots I took from the pdf brochure (hopefully they load):

Wow...pretty interesting. I never really seen these or knew about them.

They were around in the early 80's. The manufacturing company was located in New York. My Dad was a distributor for Pennsylvania. The Supreme model looked the coolest but the Stampede was the fastest and most fun to drive. Unfortunately, they didn't sell very well. I guess the world wasn't ready for UTV's back then.

I wish I could get the full brochure loaded on the forum so all of you can read the specs and see one of the last remaining brochures of these early UTV's.

I have one of these, and have been looking for any info on them. There is not much out there about them. I paid $2000 for it and finally got most of the wiring figured out and got it running. It is not at all what I was expecting. Now I am giong to sell it or put the cab on a 4wheeler. Do you think I would be able to get my money back? let me know what you think.

Not if you keep the cab. What condition is the frame in? And is there any suspension?

everything appears to be in working condition except the radio. I need to wire all the lights, turnsingnals, and horn back in. The wiring is all in bad shape, but I plan to replace it with heavier wire before I sell it. The frame and suspension appears to be pretty good. If you want to see a vidio of it, go to youtube and type in "shrunkette"

Hello, im looking for some input on this situation i have. My 94 Mojave has no spark, and i have no idea what it is. Ive replaced/tested the magneto, the pickup coil, cdi, the ignition coil. Even the key and Killswitch. I haven't tested the harness its self, but i have tried another harness and still nothing. The only thing i can think of is the fly wheel itself. I have found a lot of metal shavings in the fly wheel and have cleaned it the best I could. But nothing happened afterwards. I am truly stumped here and hoping some of yous could shed some knowledge/ideas that could help get this thing to fire.

The studs in the sprocket hub are stripped out. The hub is probably walloed out also. Probably will have to have a new sprocket hub. I doubt I have the ability nor the tools needed for this job. Thanks for all suggestions/opinions!

I bought this Eiger about a year ago it has been my runner while i worked on my other projects, except today it wouldnt crank, i suspect it is the  petcock not letting fuel through. When i bought it it had a multitude of problems, but i just ignored those and rode it any way, put it on the back burner while i worked on my other projects with more serious problems, like stuck engine ,wiring harness ripped out, and wheels locked up. Got those all sorted out and since it wouldnt crank today decided it was time to refine this one. When i got it it had a bad Non OEM carb replaced it with a cheap aftermarket until i could find a descent priced OEM to rebuild, and have been riding it ever since. It also had a bad petcock, would only run on prime, neutral light didnt work, no brakes, which are a luxury anyway, but as im getting older luxurys are nice to have, so i guess i will fix those. I paid a little more for this one, $800 but he wanted $1500, because it ran and moved and most things seemed to work, and it didnt smoke, even with the bad carb. Generally 500 is my limit for a non runner, since this one ran i upped my limit a little. So i got it out of the shed before the mice got in it for the winter and started going over it today.

I would never buy a new camouflaged one because of what you see here, and it almost stopped me from buying this one, but it is what it is, not much i can do for that now, they did look nice when new, i am toying with the idea of replacing the plastics while i can still get them, but am not there yet, expensive.

I think the snorkel has got to go its not hooked up anyway. Looks like a perfect mouse house.

Hello I appreciate the welcome into the group. I am beyond frustrated with this desperate search for parts. I have a 2013 XY power sports UTV 300. I had a catastrophic failure in my rear differential which resulted in the destruction of almost everything inside. I have located everything I need to completely redo the rear end. But I cannot find a short side axle shaft with six splines etc. it's an offset differential and one shaft is longer than the other and I need the short one. The tip of it broke off (pic). Any help in getting another shaft for this thing would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks guys

Hey all, from SW Virginia here. I just picked up a '01 Bombardier Quest 650 on the cheap (seller couldn't get it to start). After correctly plumbing the fuel pump (new pump the prior owner installed but had the hoses going backwards lol) and cleaning the carb and fuel tank, repaired all the batt - and batt+ connections she lives!!  I had swore to the wife unit I wouldn't be dragging another "project" home but I couldn't pass it up, it had new tires, new starter, new fuel pump and low hrs. All's good after she took it for a ride! 😆 It rides like a tank, very stable and tons of power.
