See lot of racing quads on here and wondering who all owns a 4x4 and what ya have/MODS! I mean; I do race mine around a competion mud pit..... Just have a hard time posting pics/video's on the site. Still learning! lol

When I do ride a 4x4, its a 2006 350 honda rancher all time 4-wheel drive all stock except for a 1500lbs winch. first atv my family has bought. Usually I use it for rock crawling and trail riding, but I do use it for some skills races (times obstacle course).

Hey Bird Dog I race Mine also. I'm no pro but its fun to do.

2007 Arctic Cat 650 H1 4x4 Automatic LE (Marsh Green)

Tires: Trail: Mud Lite XTR 27x9-12 Front and 27x11-12 Rear / Mud: Highlifter Outlaws 29.5x12-12 Front and Rear w/ 1" Spacers.

Tuning: 2" Snorkel, Duckbill Mod, Black Magic Slip On, Exhaust Snorkel.

Clutching: /// Airdam Stage 3, EPI Red Spring.

Motor: Speedwerx 700 BBK, Webcam, 11:1 CP Piston, Coolant Overflow Tank Vented Near Pod, One-way Valve on Carb Drain.

Suspension: Sway Bar, Hockey Puck Mod, All Balls Wheel Bearings and Tie Rods, EBC Brakes and Rotors.

Electrical: Auto Meter Temp and Volt Gauge, 4" PIAA Lights, Super-Bright Red LED Taillight Bulb, Circuit Breaker for Fan and Main.

I have a '07 Yamaha Grizzly 450, one of these days i'll upgrade to the 700 with EFI and power steering, but for now, it gets me around, and it does a hell of a job of it, it's actually kinda nice to be lower to the ground than the 700, your center of gravity isn't so high and you don't feel as tippy on side hills and what not. don't think I'll ever own anything utility besides a Grizzly though, not that they aren't pretty equal, i'm just partial :)

      Heres my story. Kinda long. I guess I was a late bloomer when it comes to quads. I had never ridden a quad in my life. Rode Dirt Bikes as a kid growing up. Back in Oct of '06 I found a Mustang on craigslist. Took it for a test drive one morning before work. Fast car. 351 Cleveland. I had planned on meeting the guy again after work. For some strange reason thats still to this day beyond me, I stopped in Hillsboro MotoSports on the way home from work. I had 6 Grand on me. There was a left over '05 sitting by the front door. It was on sale for $4999. It was $5499 OTD. I didnt even look at anything else. I knew nothing about quads accept I thought it really looked coool and I had the money in my pocket to buy it. I was sitting on it when the salesman walked up and asked... "Can I help you?" Without hestitation I pulled 60 Ben Franklins outta my front pocket and said "I want this Quad. Load it up in my truck." It was just about dark by the time I drove away from the shop. BTW, I didnt bother to ask my ol lady if I could buy it. LOL. Anyway, I took it by the house and showed her. She was kinda stunned but not mad. We drove over to a friend of mines house and unloaded it. I took it to the field across the street from his house. HOLY CHIT!!!!! I was surprised by the power. I had it for about 2 weeks and took it to Sand Lake. I was there a few hours and rolled it on a banked turn at the top of the bowl right before you get to the one-ways. When it rolled, I flew off and landed on my belly. The quad came bouncing and landed on my back. For a month I couldnt even walk. I was scared of it. I considered trading it for a 250EX. Went back to the shop. The salesman said..."Dude!!! You dont want a 250EX!!! Trust me. Just get used to it" I still wasnt convinced. I put it on craigslist for $4000. Calls were coming in. I had a guy that wanted to come look at it that evening. I decided to take it for one last ride at Browns Camp before I sold it. I was still afraid of it. After about 5 minutes I started feeling comfortable on it again. I decided right then, I loved my Honda 450 and would learn how to ride it instead of selling it. That was late Nov of '06. Work was slow for a Painter in Oregon. My new job everyday? Going to Browns Camp and ridding my Quad. I bought my Girl Friend an '02 Blaster. I rode my 450 for 4-6 hours almost every single day for 3 months. And yes, I know my way around Browns Camp pretty well. LOL. In March I bought her an '06 TRX250EX (Thank God I didnt trade my 450 for one of those) LOL Since then, I have become totally addicted to quads. I love them. Couldnt imagine not owning at least one quad. Luckily I have two. My "07 was $6500 OTD in July of '07. Bought it for my Girlfriend. Traded in her 250 EX. A month later we broke up. So, I wound up with two Honda 450's.

      The family has two quads and have been asking where to ride around here- we are about 70 miles north of spokane and looking for places that are nice to go visit for beginners.
      We have a 2003 Polaris sportsman, and a 2004 Artic Cat 2-up (I forget the size)

      Fuel pump still no go, 09 TRX420FPA

      First issue was fuel pump wont start once ignition has been turned on. Replaced the pump as I had one on hand, than noticed no power so replaced the fuel pump relay as that was were i traced the power to. Still nothing so further inspection looks like signal is coming from the PCM (FLR B20) but not switching the the brown wire to the fuel pump. Ive checked the operation of the bank angle sensor and it appears operational. Fuses and wiring all appear OK. The engine stop relay also tests OK. Ive been through the repair manual and diagrams but to no avail. Fully stumped, any tips would be helpful. Thanks

      I'm new to the forums, but not new to the hobby. Admittedly though, I'm not super mechanically capable. But usually my contributions result in the problems I've attempted to solve via help with the forums and I will post my solutions.  Or it I've solved a problem myself, I will post about it and how I solved it.
      I've owned a lot of used (ever bought new) ATV's from:  Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Polaris.  From sport to 4x4, and have developed all my biased opinions of each brand.
