My 2001 660 raptor seems to be having some issues with the rear axle nut. Seems like about every 2 rides the rear axle nuts back off and loosen up.I average about 75 to 100 miles a ride and this is driving me insane. The rear bearings and seals have been replaced and the axle has been upgraded to an 2003 axle because i had a mishap with a tree, kind of jumped in my way...lol So i got pissed off and ordered a mod quad double locker after market axle nut to hopefully cure this issue. I would love to hear any input you guys and gals my have. Is anyone else ever run into this issue, and how did you fix it? ,Thanks a bunch

Put an aftermarket axle on and you have to tighten the axle nuts about every moto. The only cure for it is an expensive aftermarket locking nut like what you ordered.

Keep in mind that everytime you crank on the axle nut that you are putting force on the axle bearing. That will eventually lead to premature bearing wear.

buy a nut with a locking grub screw, the nut should only be done up tight enough to take the play out of the axle and then locked off with the grob screw otherwise as has been said before it will lead to prem bearing wear

I rebuilt the carb on said machine. When I hook up the auxiliary gas tank it runs fine and everything is cool. When I put the fuel tank on and hooked up the lines, it completely flooded the cylinder and even about an inch of fuel in the air box. I'm pretty sure that it comes from the little hose on the petcock and hooks to the top of the carb. WTH is that even for? I mean the thing runs fine on the auxiliary tank, so idk And on the petcock when it's in the "on" position, I get no fuel. The petcock from the bike I took it apart and checked out how it operates. The sharpie marks indicate how it really works. Now the other petcock w/o the sharpie marks is an old one that was leaking that I removed from a Polaris quad. It's exactly the same thing, except the small hose and nipple have been removed. I'm so confused, LOL

I'm working on a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 400 with shift indicator problems. The indicator panel only will show Neutral and Reverse. If it's in High or Low, the indicator will show "R".
I have replaced the three position indicator switch on the transmission. There is also a two position switch on the tranny that I didn't replace. If anyone is familiar with this problem, please let me know what I need to do. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Guys, I've got a 1999 Honda Foreman 450S.  It runs great, but smokes out the exhaust after startup until it warms up.  I'm thinking the valve seals are leaking.  I was wondering if there is a way to replace them without removing the head or if there's an oil additive that will recondition the rubber seals.  Any advice?

I recently purchased a raptor 80 for my grandson for  christmas. I am trying to make sure it is running properly. i have rebuilt the carb and adjusted the carb idle then the mixture to middle of where it runs rough and it runs great for about a min or 2. then it stalls out. I can usually choke it and it will start so i feel it is lacking fuel. the fuel shutoff valve has been changed and i checked it for good fuel flow.  any ideas of what to check next. I am planning to vfy fuel float height tomorrow. I visually checked it by turning carb upside down when i had it apart and it looked level. any ideas are appreciated.

      Thanks.

I got a 2005 350 Raptor Special Edition and I'm dealing with a no start issue; the weirdest thing is when I'm cranking it fires and slows down showing signs of pre firing, smoke shoots out the carburetor every time it sparks. every electrical part (CDI, Rectifier, Stator, Coil) has been swapped out from previous owner, the top end of the engines all new and I cleaned the carb out, anyone got any ideas or similar problems, also is it possible to have a bad spark timing
