Went for another ride this yesterday... :hurrayc: ... Man, this retired life is rough ... :smilielol5c: ... my rid'in buddy went this time & it almost turned into a dang good thing he did .... about an hour into our ride, I was looking for a way around a downed tree ... and my bike just up & quit :bangheadc:

So he pulled me back onto the trail & I began checking things out. I checked all the fuses, swapped relays, removed the battery, hooked up the second battery .... noth'in !! :censored:

So we pushed & he winched until we got the bike turned around, hooked up a tow strap & off we took for the truck ... this all took about an hour or two I think, not real sure ... he pulled me about 150 feet & I thought, "Well, I'll try one more time" ... and I'll be, I now had power & the bike started... :partyc:

... so my buddy asked what I wanted to do & I replied, "Ride !!!" ... so we finished the day out riding for about another 8 hrs & WE HAD A BLAST !! ... :woot:

We saw a lot of deer, some snowshoe rabbits, a Moose, ... but NOT ONE OTHER PERSON !!! :wiggle: ... Oh, and did I tell ya ..... THE FREAK'IN SKEETERS ARE STILL THERE !! ... :willy_nillyc:

Anyway, there's still lots of snow ... :cheer:

Here's a short vid & a couple photo's ... Hope ya enjoy'em !! :cheers2c:

Talking about bugs I picked up a hitch hiker to day out riding a baby scorpion was on my leg when I looked down. I agree with gunny the no bug season is better. You can always layer cloths to stay warm in late fall & winter. It's illegal here to ride naked to try and stay cooler in summer.

Hey all, BruinBeater here.  Just joined up from the Pittsburgh, PA area.
Got a Polaris Sportsman 1000 and a 570 in the garage that don't get ridden quite enough but looking forward to a family trip this fall.
I'm the unofficial mechanic of the extended family.  In the past month or so I've replaced a transmission in a Chevy Silverado, rust repair on a Chevy Malibu, electrical repair on a Subaru Crosstrek, overheating issue solved on a Can Am Commander, and right now I have a pair of Grizzly and a Bruin 350 in the garage.  Both have a no start condition and have been sitting for 2+ years.

As the title says I am on the search for a used OEM 1995 King Quad Carb. I believe it says Mikuni on the side. If you could even help me find info on which carb it is exactly that would be helpful too, or motorcycles/other quads that use the same carb. Thanks!

      Hi everyone,
I often work on both ATVs and larger construction equipment, and I’m always on the hunt for solid OEM manuals—service, repair, and parts. The usual searches give a lot of random PDFs or unofficial scans that aren’t very trustworthy.
What online sources do you all use when you need a factory manual quickly? Are there sites you’ve found that consistently provide genuine OEM content for ATVs or heavy machinery?
I recently came across Heavy Equipment Manual, which claims to provide verified OEM service and parts manuals (covering brands like Caterpillar, Komatsu, Kubota, etc.). Has anyone here tried it, or do you have other go-to resources you’d recommend?
I’m interested in options that are:
      ·        Fast to download
      ·        Cover both heavy equipment and ATV models
      ·        Clear on licensing and safety
Thanks for sharing your experiences and any recommendations!

Hello my name is David, I have been riding for over 30 years ATV, dirt bikes, S x S you name it. I ride with a small group off and on though out the years. Currently, we have only three of us that have been riding this year and we are looking for more people to join us!
If you're in the Northern California area and looking for people to join on weekend and day trip rides send me an email: [email protected]! We have been to many OHV sites all over the state and we usually try to meet up for a ride once a month.
I look forward to hearing from you!

The family has two quads and have been asking where to ride around here- we are about 70 miles north of spokane and looking for places that are nice to go visit for beginners.
We have a 2003 Polaris sportsman, and a 2004 Artic Cat 2-up (I forget the size)
