I had the chance to ride a 2012 BF 750 it was very nice but I have never been on a can-am. The guy with the BF 750 sold his Can-am and went back to the Kawas. I just know what he told me. With the Can-am he said if the battery died you have to take it in for service to be reprogrammed before you can start it after replacing or charging the battery. I don't know if that is true or not. Some Can-am owners need to jump in here. For showing off Can-am may be the brand to buy. The guy did say the Can-am was the faster of the 2 quads just less trouble out of the BF 750. Try them both out and while your looking don't skip the other brands.

I owned both a can am 800 commander and a Teryx 750. They both are capable but I think the can am is more for trail riding.

The teryx was great for the rough spots on the trail, while the commander needs to engage its clutch and then shift down to crawl, plus you can lock the front diff. The commander wins as far as comfort, speed, and handling.

If you get a can am 1000 be prepared to mess with the clutching, either the commander or outlander.

As for SXS or quad I also own two arctic cats besides the side by side and the handling on a quad is way different that a SXS. If you are looking for the fun factor an ATV might be for you. But if you are working the Quad hard a SXS might be a good choice because of the bed room and being able to take another passenger.

Yeah I thought both and 800 commander and a 750 or 850 atv. I just want the sxs so I can just cruise around the trails and have a stereo in it and use the bed for work. And the atv to go fast or to get into those little bit more difficult food plots to access :). But It is going to be a while b4 I can get either thanks guys. Anyone else that wants to post keep going I'd like to learn more

I had a Kawasaki and I liked it. Some guys talked about the ride in the Can Am so I went out and purchased one. Brother was that a mistake. Nothing but issues since I bought it. This bike definitely gotta go. Back to Kawasaki for me. Still aint figured out why I listen to others talking about bike, especially since ive tried most of them and I still come back to the Kawi.

I've test driven most of the brands and found the can am more to my liking. From the Can Am perspective, it has a 12" clearance which is nice for logging road trails and riding, plus it rides well on the Max which is their two up machine.

If you can, try them out on trails and see which suits your riding style best. Everyone is different in how they ride of course :)

I am hooking up a speaker on the rear of bike and want to use a factory auxiliary switched plug and not have to cut into the factory wiring or add another switch. I have read a bunch of posts that say there should be an auxiliary 12V connector in the front and one in the rear. I found the one in the front when I hooked up my winch but cannot find any in the rear. I have seen some pictures showing one on the right side attached to the down tube behind the side cover, but there is nothing on my 2024. Can anyone confirm that there is a auxiliary 12V connector in the rear on the 2024 700 Xmr? If so, can you please tell me where it is (with a picture if possible)?

I'm trying to help a buddy out with his bike (he's not really on the internet or familiar with these forums) and I'll admit that I am not super familiar with the transmission and clutches in these bikes. I owned a Brute a few years ago, but never had an issue like this that I had to troubleshoot.
So basically my buddy bought a group lot of 650's to build one good bike out of. He got it all put together and has it running but when he pushes on the throttle the clutch doesn't engage till the RPM's are quite high and even when its moving it doesn't really speed up, almost seems like its in "limp mode". He's tried 2 different transmissions so I don't think that's the problem.
Is there any adjustment on the clutch engagement? Anything else I can tell him to look at? Let me know if you need anymore information if you think you can help.

Got asked to take a look at a 2014 Can Am Commander 1000 for an overheating issue.  Owner says he's been having issues for awhile.  Had another guy put a new electric fan on it and its still overheating.
I take it for a test drive.  1 mile on asphalt and temp gauge is pegged and machine is telling me its overheating.
Looking at it in the garage and I see, it low on coolant.  As in, the overflow tank is empty.  Can't see it in the radiator.  Not sure how far down it is.
Took out the seat, and center console. I see coolant on top of both cylinders.  Its leaking a tiny bit from each coolant outlet on top of the cylinders.  They are plastic with a metal bleeder screw.  Both leaking from the bleeder screw.  Tried to tighten them but I can tell they are stripped out.
Bought some aftermarket coolant outlets from Quad Logic.  They came with a new bleeder screw and crush washer for the screw.  They did not come with a new gasket.
Bought a new OEM thermostat.  Did it really need one?  I'm not sure, I didn't bother to test it.  Its not a cheap part but not terribly expensive either.  These commanders are a pain to bleed all the air out of the cooling system, I only wanted to do it once.
Remove the plastic screen from the firewall so I can access the thermostat.  Cut all the old hose clamps off (OEM Crimps) Replace the T-stat.  Install new hose clamps.  Install new coolant outlets on top of both cylinders.
Now its time to bleed the system.  I have a "NO SPILL FUNNEL"  Remove the radiator cap and attach this in its place.  Fill the funnel up about half way and let it sit for awhile with the bleed screws open.  Once I see fluid out the bleeders, I close them.  Squeeze the hoses a bit and watch the air bubble come up into the funnel.  Once the system is full, I drive it to a hill in the yard and put 1 car ramp in the middle of the hill.  I drive up the car ramp with the left/drivers side tire.  This puts the radiator cap up nice and high.  Let the engine run for as long as it takes to get the air out.  I keep the full at least 1/3 full.  I rev the engine to 4K rpm.  I jump out and squeeze the upper rad hose, the lower rad hose, and both lines to the cab heater (aftermaket) I keep doing this till I no longer see air.  I also crack the bleed screws loose on top of the heads during this time.  The fan cycled on and off multiple times. It took approximately 45 minutes till no more bubbles were coming up into the funnel.
Remove the no spill funnel and top off the recovery tank with the coolant trapped in the funnel.  Took it for test run up the road and hit a little trail.  Outside air temp was 92F and 90% + humidity.  Machine never came close to overheating on the ride.
