Suzuki Quad Runner 250 Run Without Fuel pump

I have 2 suzuki quadrunners 250s and i am trying to get them running. I was wondering if the quad will run without using the fuel pump

i can't see why not, as long as the fuel is above the carb for gravity feed, and as long as the carb doesn't have like a check valve where it needs a certain amount of psi running to have it open ...

I belive the pump starts worki when the motor is running

i misread your post i think. i thought you were taking the pump out and running a line to the carb ... sorry ...

No the pump is still on the quad that is what i did i just ran a straight line from the tank to the carb but it doesn't serm to be getting gas. If i take thr fuel line off gas comrs out the petcock.

some of thoes carbs had spring loaded needel valves in the carbs and had to have slight pressure to get the fuel into the bowl on the carb..

If its got a fuel pump its there for a reason and I say that it will run but not at wide open throttle or maybe not run when on steep declines or angles or below half a tank of fuel full

Here's a trick.....but don't tell anyone I told you this cause it can be dangerous. Try having a buddy pressurize the fuel tank a bit while you crank it over. A slight amount of pressure in the tank will mimick the fuel pump. Just hook a line from a compressor to the vent on the cap and give it a little shot. DO NOT OVER PRESSURIZE IT!!! It will blow itself to peices!! All you need is SLIGHT pressure. This works , when the engine seems like it's dying have your buddy give it another little shot of pressure & see how the engine reacts.

Ok i got the quad to Start by just dumping a little gas in tbe carb it seems that the fuel pump isn't working can it be rebuild
