Hey im Gonna Start running synthetic oil and do you guys have any suggestions on some good brands? IVe heard that royal purple is good but want some opinions?

Royal purple is pricey $$$$ I use Rotella synthetic in all my quads Wallymart carries it

My two cents.. If your gunna use the oil in your 400ex, use 15w-40 Rotella-T diesel oil. I use it in mine, was recommended by my engine builder and is alot cheaper than synthetic. My oil temps are the same too.

I use Amsoil Powersports 0w40 in mine, it runs cooler, oil lasts longer, oil stays clean. I use Amsoil marine 80w90 hypoid gear oil in differentials as well. It will handle up to 10% water to it without loosing lubricity and prevents rust/corrosion. In my TRX450FM which gets ridden daily, after 18months riding, oil still looks like new. It is a little pricey, but the extra protection is worth it.

i use the rotella 15w40 in all my sport quads.. im an engine builder and certified atv mechanic and thats all i use and put in new motors that i build.. i also carry and sell it in my shop...

I also use Rotella in my Honda !! But I change the oil every 3rd ride !!
