Ok my 2009 Kawasaki brute force 750 4x4i is back firing & cutting out when excellerated and the engine is getting hot enough that it burns my leg through jeans and it feels like the exhaust is melting the fender and I can sometimes smell burning plastic.

I checked the fan and it is fine, also pulled the fuel pump out and tested and cleaned it and it stopped back firing and cutting out but still runs hot but not showing the temp sensor indicator light on the dfi at all... I checked the plugs and cleaned gapped ect they are fine... radiator is clean and not stopped up, oil level good, injectors working property and clean..... I just don't know what else to do to it.... HELP!

Just curious, how did you verify that the pump and injectors are running right? Also did you check to see if the water pump impeller is ok. Sometimes the corrode

Do you have a shop manual?

I checked my pump by turning on the key and measuring the amount of fuel it pumps into a measuring cup in sec and I cleaned the injectors not sure how to test them

      Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 – the engine keeps stalling after running for about 10–15 minutes. I’ve checked the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines, but can’t seem to find the root of the problem. It starts up just fine, but then loses power suddenly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with this model/year? Would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips you’ve tried that worked. Thanks in advance for your help!

This thing came with a cheap aftermarket carb on it the problem I'm having is it won't start with choke installed into carburetor it will start and get run without it installed then bogs out after about 2 min run time I've checked timing , compression, checked valves for proper clearance , also did a smoke test for air leaks found none.

Hey all, new to the forum! I just bought a 1998 Kawasaki bayou 300, 4x4 not running. Initially I found no spark. Ended up playing with the plug wire (made sure plug top and wiring was touching) and got spark yesterday and the quad fired up off ether. Come to work on it today and now no spark again. Before I got spark and now today if I touch the plug after cranking I get shocked, and it will spark after I release the starter button. I was jumping the quad with a freshly charged car battery that has 12v while cranking. Cleaned out the kill switch and ignition button. All looks good. Purchased new plugs. They're are a lot of wires cut/ disconnected. But shouldn't matter if I got spark without them connected...

HI everyone. New to this forum. I have 98 Kawasaki Bayou 400 with an apparent electrical issue. I have the Clymer manual, but I am not exactly sure where to start. The issue started a month ago and the neutral light would go on and off intermittently. Eventually it went completely off , and I thought it was a shifting issue. I took the case off and checked the clutch and all mechanical shifting components are good, so I think I eliminated that. The switch sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Last time I tried, I did hear a clicking sound near where the battery is right before the light went out. Does anyone have any ideas where to start? Hoping this is an easy fix.
