I have a leaking rear end and when I removed the plug it was over full and running out....I had to add 1 qt to the engine over the weekend and the engine doesn't leak or burn oil....can the oil travel down the drive shaft tube from the transmission to the rear???.....if so how big of a job is that to fix?......thanx:aargh:

Ive never heard of that happening (engine oil getting into the diffs. ) or being possible, but..... an over filled diff. could cause gear oil to leak thru the seals. Try running it with the proper fluid levels & see if the leak goes away. The seals may not be damaged, just where over stressed from the fluid level being so high. They really arent designed to operate in a submerged environment.

I got it jacked up where I could see today and removed the skid plate....seems both axle seals are leaking....not sure but maybe the previous owner knew it was leaking and over filled it....I have new seals and bearings coming for it....I'm not gonna be swamping this old ride....I just wanted a machine too cruise the trails with.....thanx for the replies....I'm sure I will have questions on other projects....

Guys, I've got a 1999 Honda Foreman 450S.  It runs great, but smokes out the exhaust after startup until it warms up.  I'm thinking the valve seals are leaking.  I was wondering if there is a way to replace them without removing the head or if there's an oil additive that will recondition the rubber seals.  Any advice?

      Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 – the engine keeps stalling after running for about 10–15 minutes. I’ve checked the air filter, spark plug, and fuel lines, but can’t seem to find the root of the problem. It starts up just fine, but then loses power suddenly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with this model/year? Would appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips you’ve tried that worked. Thanks in advance for your help!

Which is more reliable? Shaft or chain drive?

I have a 94 Trail Boss 250 2wd that will not go into forward. Reverse works great but forward just clicks but won’t engage. I’ve verified the shift lever is pushing far enough so I believe I have either an engagement “dog” or mating forward gear that are likely bad. I also see a fair amount of metal on the dipstick magnet. But if I ride the machine in reverse the gearbox seems quiet with no other issues by what I hear. That said I’m in process of pulling the gearbox to see what parts I need. The gearbox has 1341124 as the model number as shown in the photo below but I can’t find any gearbox on eBay or the Polaris parts site that matches that number. Is this 94 model a year that used some special gearbox? My tag on the box even looks different than all the tags on gearboxes I see for sale on eBay. I really want to buy new parts for the ones damaged in my gearbox to fix the one I have but just doing research at this point to see what gearbox I have to know which parts I need. Anyone with experience with this I welcome some advice or direction from what you have learned. Just FYI this machine is new to me but cranks, runs and idles perfect. It’s not beat up and will be a gem when I get this tranny fixed. Thanks.

When you and a group of friends decide you want to take a long group trip of camping/riding/overlanding, how far are you willing to drive for your trip? Right now, i find it really difficult to want to drive more than 2-3 hours one way.
