Bought 4 wheeler for kids. Used to run and soon as it was put in gear it died. I have put new carburater, new plug and battery. The neutral light won't come on. I replaced the solenoid, then the positive battery cable and today put new relay assembly on. Still no neutral light. Not getting any juice and I don't know why.

you will need that neutral light on unless it was bypassed ... like dtbprc said, could be bad connection or a broken wire ,,, most times the switch is on the flat of the transmission behind the motor, looks like a sending unit, usually just a one wire deal ...

Thank you. It used to work but quit. I replaced the solenoid, the relay assembly and have ordered a neutral switch. Is it very difficult to install? I've been trying to find out where it is online but not having any luck.

this is what i found on another forum with your 220 ///

There is a switch on the end of the gear change drum that signals when the tranny is in neutral or reverse. It's made of plastic and can sometimes break. More often the contacts are rusted even though it sits in oil.

You have to remove the left engine cover and final drive case to get at the switch. You can often do this by sliding the motor ahead in the frame instead of pulling the motor.

here is a manual for your bike here ... https://www.hightail.com/download/UlRSK2VxZy9tMEp3SGNUQw

I am so aggravated. Finally got the engine down and moved forward. Got to the neutral switch, which was broken, replaced it, got it all put back together and turned on the key.........NOTHING! I just don't know what to do. Any suggestions please.

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?

The one I need to replace has a 2 wire plug coming out of it. Searching eBay I see tons of them with only 1 wire . WTH???

I have a 1997 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4. It used to start right up. Then all of a sudden it wouldn't crank. I have a schematic for it so I started tracing the problem. I had no power at the starter solenoid. According to the schematic the power comes from the neutral switch and through the starter circuit cut out relay. I cannot locate the cut out relay on this machine.. If I apply power to the relay it will crank with the start button.
The neutral switch is hard to get to with all the brackets on this thing. I did find out from all my research that if I apply the rear brake lever it will start.
Does anybody know if the cut out relay exists and where it might be found?

This 2006 ArticCat dvx400 didn't have a reverse cable. I got one and am wondering how it routes? If someone has a dvx400, could post a pic of there reverse cable routing, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
