As someone who often gets approached for people to hunt on my land, I would say that I don't find it offensive for someone to ask. I guess the biggest thing is that the people I allowed to hunt were people that had some connection to people I already knew. I don't want somebody with no connection to the area feeling like they have nothing to lose when they act crazy. So my advice would be to find a friend or neighbor who is friends with the land owner. And stop over and introduce yourself with the friend of the owner. That will speak volumes and give you an 'in' with the land owner instantly.

I have seen to U shaped brackets that attach to the front rack (on a utility quad) with little fingers that hold it snug but are still able to release when needed. Like this,

Where i ride: I ride everything from woods to gravel pits, winter out on the lakes, and down dirt roads.. The reason I ride: The reason i ride is for the Rush, and knowing that every ride is going to be the same there is always something new and exciting. It Also gives me something to do besides sitting home or running around the streets in town getting involved with drugs like some kids do when there is not much else they can do.

I'm sorry to hear about your father's cancer... I like to ride wooded areas also, mountain trails, rocky terrain. I mostly trails that are under power lines for miles. Most of my riding has been wooded, New England terrain. I like to ride because I find it relaxing. I also like to ride in the snow!
