  1. Great project! I would so luv to ride that TRX500R. That Blazer should be a beast when you get finished with it.

I have an 86 Suzuki Samurai that sometime I plan on putting a 3.8ltr V6 into with an automatic. I will probably have to change the axles out too.

That will be a strong motor for a little rig like that. Toyota axles work well in a samurai.

  2. LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE THE CHAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would so PIMP that at the Dunes:yes::laugh:

I am going to be picking up a new chopsaw and a pipe bender this weekend, so I can finnish her up, who knows, you may just see it at Florence or Glamis this spring, I'd be happy to let you take it for a spin.

  3. for the trike u gunna add some long chopper handle bars? or u gunna keep em short for more control? great projects nice truck r those super swamper tires?

I am planning on some long, ape-hanger bars and putting the throttle and brakes on pedals and the shifter on a hand control by, or in the armrest. I don't want any thing on the handle bars because when I turn the outside grip will move too far away to be able to hold onto. Yes those are super swampers on the blazer. 33x14x16.5 boggers, I was going to go bigger, but I got a great deal on those that I couln't pass up.

  4. Well,,,,This is a 1958 Heilite...So back then there were real bumpers....On my previous post you will notice the Front of the Trailer has two hitches....Well those Connected to the Receivers that were Clamped onto the Bumper...Little 1" Balls...Since back when I had this thing I was pulling it with a 91 Exploder...I had to make this hitch in order for it to work.....But When Camping....There are 4 Stabilizer Bars that come down out of each corner to hold it up....That 1 wheel Actually does a 360 Degree turn...

Here are some more of my old Baby....

Oh yeah,,,,,I was so ANAL back then....I saved the original Tire:biggrin: That is is in the Picture.....LMAO!!!!

That is cool as hell, so I guess after driving that thing around, the little extension on your truck is no problem for you.

  5. Here are some of the projects that I have been working on for the past few years. Due to a lack of time and the fact that I can't just work on one at a time they are taking a while to complete. The first is the TRX 500R. This is the only one so far that has been somewhat completed, a few times. The frame is completely home made, modeled after an '86 250R. Then I stuffed an '86 CR 500 motor in it. I have made some changes in the past year and a half, the pics where it is white are what it looked like when it was first completed. Since then, I have added a 38mm PWK airstryker, a bit small, but it is good for low end and it's really responsive. I found a pipe that was made for a CR 500 motor in the TRX 250R frame by powerpros. I painted the plastics black (bad idea). I also added 400ex spindles, I had to modify the stock a-arms to get the camber right, and I am working on an adapter to put the R brakes back on. The ex brakes don't quite cut it on a 90+ mph quad.

Next, I have an '85 Chevy S-10 Blazer. I have cut out the ifs and added some full size axles out of an '80 Jeep Wagoneer. Dana 44 in front and an AMC model 20 in rear. It has leaf springs now, but I plan on going to coils in the future, as well as a small block v-8 and probably a 700R4 tranny and transfer case out of a late model full size 4wd.

Finally, some of you trike fans might hate me for this, but I am in the process of mating an old Yamaha Tri-moto 125 to an old leather recliner.

I inherited both from my sister, I was just storing them for her idiot husband, but when he decided to leave her stranded 1200 miles away from home in Ogden, Utah with no money, I decided they were mine.

Here are a few pics of them, I will update this thread as progress is made.

  6. Those people make me so f###ing angry. My wife, who is very naive and far too trusting, got a call from some sh#t ball who managed to get her bank card number to "prove her identity" so they could send her a free $300 pre-paid gas card. When she told me what she did I made her immediately cancel that card and get a new one. What blows me away is these turds actually called back and asked for a new number because they could not verify the other one. However, I answered that call and told him what a piece of sh## I thought he was. He actually had the nerve to act offended that I was calling B.S. on his scam. He wouldn't give up, he just let me continue to insult and degrade him, you can't imagine the messed up things I said to this guy and he just kept trying to get me to give him a credit card number. I was so irate, I swear if he was standing in front of me I would have shot him in the head.

  7. The newer the better, with these new high tech, high maintinence motors, you can't be sure how well the last person took care of it. If you buy a used one especially an older one, '04 or '05, you could have a very dissapointing disaster on your hands. I would by new, it's the only way to be sure. If you ride trails or cross country, get the regular or SE model, if you plan to spend alot of time on the track get the R. If you do buy used try to buy from someone you know, or buy a twostroke, less moving parts, and they cost a fraction of what it costs to rebuild a hi-po fourstroke.

  8. That's funny you should say that, IMO a Raptor is one of the easiest bikes to ride at low rpm. You wont find a sport bike with more torque. If you think you have to clutch alot with a Raptor, try riding a 450, I can't lug my LTR at all. I even have to clutch more on my TRX500R than a Raptor, and a CR500 motor has tons of torque. If you don't like using a clutch maybe you would like a KFX 700 better. Or like Havok said, adjust your gearing. A tooth up will make 1st gear more usable, or a tooth down will let you use 2nd gear sooner, but 1st would probably be useless unless you want to pull some stumps. Front sprocket adjustments make a big difference, rear sprocket changes let you fine tune things.

  9. There is probably close to 9ft of lenght behind the rear wheels, when you turn the truck pivots on the rear wheels, so every thing behind the rear wheels swings the other way. It's usually not an issue unless you are in a tight spot. I have hit a car with the as* end of a large box van that way in down-town Seattle.

  10. I ride mostly in a large trail network right by my home in Bonney Lake. I like it because I don't even have to load up, I just ride there. There is a place in Buckley, where the property owner built a track of sorts on a 10 acre plot, he just requires people to sign a release waiver, after that you can ride there anytime. There are also some places in Wilkeson and Evan's Creek.

  11. a good pair of 20s will make it perfect! you'll love it! send us videos!!!! please?

Yeah, I just had it out again today, and the wheel spin is still a bit excessive, I think the 20's will help me get some more traction. Although the few times I did get it to bite, it almost shot out from under me. I was just talking to a guy who has the same CR500/TRX250R hybrid I do, and he is running 15/36 gearing and 22" tires in the sand. I did the math and at 8500rpm in 5th gear he would be doing 116mph! I will try and get some vids up tomorrow.

  12. I just got the old 500R back up and running again. I remember now why I love two strokes so much. I have gotten used to my LTR so the big pinger was a little scary at first. I tried some new gearing too. I was running 12/39 with 20" tires before, now I am running 14/38 with 18" tires. I never knew it was so badly undergeared. I plan to switch back to 20" tires soon, then she will be good for about 90mph.
