  1. When I say new geometry I mean they will move the motor slightly down and forward, which will lower the center of gravity and bring it more over the front of the seat rather than the pegs.(results in even better cornering than honda has now). That with about an 18mm longer swingarm. I hope they fix the rear shock issue. The TRX bucks like it's in a rodeo. The shock is at too much of an angle, it needs to be more vertical.
  2. So all they do is design them? I could do that myself.
  3. My dreams come true in 2010 when the new TRX450 comes out!!! I hope everyone was safe and had a great time!
  4. Didn't we say Happy Bday to you last week? Have a great one boss!
  5. Sounds like a good plan, and Yes. If you use high temp paint you can paint the headers.
  6. I have a friend that works for Honda, in 2007 he told me what changes were going to happen to the CRF450 in 2009. Everything he said was correct. At that same time he told me the TRX450 would have the following in 2010(2011 if they have bugs in the CRF450). Aluminum Frame EFI 2 selectable fuel mappings-handle bar mounted Kayaba shocks(they dropped showa) New geometry Now that the other MFGs are making race specific models, don't be surprised to see 2 models, XC and MX. If they go the same route they did with the CRF, the TRX will be completely different. The only thing that is interchangeable from the 08 CRF450 to the 09 CRF450 is the brakes.
  7. Sounds about right. See if you can get you dad to pull you slowly with a rope.
  8. Push the quad down hill, when you get some speed built up pop the quad into 2nd gear. Dump the clutch and give it some gas.
  9. Here is the before pic from the back. After
  10. Yes, up and down is open. Do NOT try and start it with the throttle open. You will flood it. Try to push start it in 2nd gear. Pump the throttle about 10 times then try it with the choke open.
  11. I wouldn't imagine all of them have the brackets breaking, but you did back up what others have told me about performance gains. They are there, but you could get the same gains by removing the stock baffle.
  12. It would help it out but that is the nature of the beast. Hondas don't like the cold. Re you leaving the throttle closed while you are starting? That is Electric start right?
  13. If you do want a new pipe, check out Looney Tuned. Looney Tuned Exhaust - Continuous Threat You can get full system duals for about 800 and a slip-on for around 300.
  14. I would keep it, order an end cap for it. Sand it down lightly(very fine paper) and use the paint they use on BBQ grills.
  15. No offense to you or anyone who uses one but DG is crap. I know plenty of people that have had issues with them. I know 2 different people that have had mounting brackets brake off and the same people telling me they saw absolutely no gains. There are better pipes than DG, just my 2 cents.
  16. Why not just buy an end cap and keep it?
  17. Absolutely!!! You seem like my style...except I don't drink the hard stuff. Just beer.
  18. Congrats on the new ride. You will liove it!
  19. Look at them. The head gasket and stuff.
  20. Ceck for oil build up around the gaskets, chain and sprockets. Check the frame welds for any cracks. Do you get to test ride it?
  21. Same with Duneprincess, if her and I tie she can have it. Between Drtygrl and I we have won plenty.
  22. Sweet can't wait for the pics...It's official you are Honda for life!
  23. Right on, good job Wheeler!!! It is a great photo.
  24. If it happens to come to a tie between Wheeler and I, She can have 1st place. I think it is her turn!
