In the service manual there is at flow chart test to diagnose the starter. it also gives you possible causes for issue you are having. One thing to consider is that a car battery has a lot more cranking amps than an ATV battery this can cause the starter to work fine and mislead to what the actual problem is.It is possible that your starter is goining bad.

carb is probably dirty. it is the most common cause for no start on these

this might be a stupid question is the kill switch in the exact middle. on my 88 trx the vehicle will still crank just no spark if it is not.

have you checked the station and magnet on the flywheel?

check the voltage reading of the tips sensor. if not right vehicle let will not idle properly

check the temp sensor is working corectly

did you check the drive shaft connection to the rear diff
