  4. The big deal is you have to remove a bunch of stuff just to split the case i think, like removing the a.c. magneto, clutch and some other stuff ect.
  5. i found out how to thanks guys, the bolts are only on one side, so i would un bolt everything and lay it on the gear shifter side and and split the cases

  8. I think she will do real well, so what if she has a kid that only 1yr. old and her daughters has a baby who cares that live women have kids, what would make a difference if someone else had a kid, but truethfully i think McCain picked palin b/c he wants the womens vote and b/c she the gov. of alaska where the oil is at but they wont let us drill
  9. yes it is spring loaded, i just dont understand how by loosening the bolt is goin to make the timing chain get tight
  10. I know how to put it in time, i dont understand the tensioner how it works, i know you have to back it out but should the bike be running when im doin this or can it be shut off. Can someone explain the full process of getting the timing chain tight again
  11. 2010 yamaha has something there goin to put out there for the sport quads and its goin to be a head turner
  12. So i bought a 05 yfz bottom end and it comes complete they said it has a heavy duty tight crank in it, whats that
  13. Do yo uhave to split the case to change the conecting rod?
  14. i has to be something in the bottom end like the crank or piston b/c 04-05 yfz have 11:9.1 comp. with only a 439cc and the 06-08 have 11:4.1 with a 449cc. And the only thing i can think of is its either the crank or the piston
  15. OK i have a 06 yfz450 motor that has a hole in the bottom end by the shifter shaft and i know 04-05 yfz has 11:9.1 comp and the 06-08 have 11:4.1 if i where to use a 04-05 bottom and and mate it with my 06 head and use my 06 piston would i get the 11:9.1 comp or would i have to use the 04-05 piston?
  16. all of the mount or just certain ones?
  17. Will the YZ450f or the WR450 motor fit ina yfz 450?
  18. I plan on getting s GYTR high comp. piston 12.5:1
  19. what dirtbike motor will inner-change with the yfz450 motor?
  20. If i do what you say and remove the head and jug keeping everything vert. do i have to worry about keeping from moving on the inside, or will everthing stay in place while removing the LH side of the case the only thing is on the yfz450 the swing arm is conected to the rear of the motor i cant remember or not if the part where the swing arm is conected to the motor splits or not
  21. are the 04-05 yfz450 crankcase the same as a 06
  22. Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace the LH side of the case, i know it involves removong the head and the motorfrom the bike but is it a big process. Do i have to worry about stuff flying out at me when i split the case
  23. So i racing sat. Aug.30th at a local track and on the third lap i hit the finish line jump and when i landed my foot must of hit the shifter and i bent the shaft, took a chunk out of my case. so after the race day was over i was talking to some of the other racers and they said the only was i would be able to race this bike the rest of the season without getting another LH case would be to use QUICK STEEL so i went to an auto parts store and picked up a tube of it, its like devcon so i mixed it up and put it over the hole and waited for about 4 hrs. and then came back to check on it and it was as hard as steel so i started the bike no oil was coming out of the motor but i could still feel air breathing out of the motor from the top part of the shaftso i put some more on there and hopefully it works untill the race season is over. ill keep everyone updated on what happens
  24. If you dont want to worry about your bike at the shop a good and quick solution would be just fix it yourself , i have found that out, i started doin everything my self so i know it gets done right not having to worry if they put new parts on or not
