I like the fact you are racing and 2nd is awsome. The K&N is a definate plus.

Ok kind of still new here but here is my Contest Entery: swampcat07's ATV Page » QUADCRAZY ATV Community

Try taking it to another Polaris dealer, that should be fixed under warranty. I would leave it there until it was fixed and have them call Polaris and tell them the situation.
Thats a good idea except for the lost seat time. Is there a lemon law for atvs. It will be the third time back for the same problem.

Well only a week left till Fishers you will see a whole new cat when I post some pics. She had the carb cleaned and runs as strong as ever. Hope its enough to push those 29.5s with the stock clutching.

120 hours and 1,400 miles is not bad.
Don't forget looks are not everything it can have new plastics.
I agree it is not how many miles/hours but how they were put on the machine. If they ride places like ssrt then they can put on a few hundred miles in one trip with little wear. Now if it was a bogger with only 50 miles or so it can be trashed.
Visit the atv in person, jack it up and check the bearings by moving the wheels side to side. See if the CV boots are torn. Cheap to replace but will tell you alot. Then remove what plastics you can easily and check the frame for cracks (Sign of abuse or a roll over).
Start it up and take it for a ride, see if the power feels right for that cc machine.
If you are still unsure you can also have an atv mechanic look at it.

Cat wins, glad it worked out for you. You know we all live in PA you should let us know if you want to run some of the fall poker runs with us.
-
Thanks I will pm one if I don't hear something soon. I had a chance to add one atv but I wanted to change things around a bit.
-
That looks like fun, I wish there was something like that around here to watch.

Did you get it up and running yet?
Also corrosion builds up on the conector where the wiring harness plugs into the cluster. Take the connection apart, clean it with compressed air or something in that order. Then seal with di electric grease.
There is also a pinch point for the wiring harness near the handle bar riser. Check for worn wires.
If you still have problems I know someone who fixes them for a hobby send me a pm and I will fill you in.

We just received our first batch of QUADCRAZY Stickers. They are 2" X 3".
They are currently available to participants of our "Refer A Friend" Contest, as stated on the contest page.
The refer a friend contest link does not work for me.
"The user or page you are trying to view is not valid. "
Also I am having problems editing my garage, any ideas?

cool pics mike.

I stand corrected that is one sweet looking rhino.

OK, OK, for some reason I thought it already was? Maybe from a quick glance at her signature pic. Didn't realize it was photochoped.
The most important thing is that she rides.
My wife has all kinds of pink stickers all over her quad, she knows I won't ride it now.

As time goes by and I approach 2000 miles on my H1 engine I am starting to think about what mods I want to do and what stock parts need to be replaced. My friend has a 400 and almost has 2k and has done alot less service work than I did. Well I think the larger tires and the places I take my cat are the reason. So where has your cat been?
I would also be intrested in what mods you have done.
Well besides being on its side from a 35mph +/- rollover here are some pics.

I myself love to fab stuff myself but a local aftermarket company makes Arctic Cat Heavy Duty Tie Rods which are made from 3/4" SCH. 80 pipe and utilize 1/2" chromoly hiem joints. Nothing special about the pipe but the hiem joints are a great idea.

Matches the Rhino!!!!

Welcome, I love seeing new trails open. It tells us the ATV community is doing something right.
-
I build Multi use trails for a living if you need any help let me know. I have alot of guidelines for ATV trail construction that I can send your way. Man I remember the days of senior projects.
-
So did you get the old one running? I had a similar starter problem on my 650, only got it fixed.
-
G-Scale, that took alot of work.
-
Hey Mike glad to see you here. Just found out that I can't ride this weekend. A client wants to meet me at 10 so the trip to SSRT is out.
-
They need to get some aftermarket tires on those things.
-
Cliping the spring and drilling the slide is a good start but this might be a bit diffrent. I want to see if it is going to work before I say anything.
-
This is cool but my only disappointment is that I did not see any open trail riding. Its a long drive for me not to be able to ride that weekend. Otherwise I would be there in a heartbeat.
Where do you take your cat?
