Seems like we used to squirt soapy water on the junction of the rim-tire and let it soak. Both inside and outside.

Governor springs are even worse. Generators need the proper rpm to operate. Mix and match governor parts are a disaster.

Over the years I've found that buying genuine engine parts more than pays for frustration of the clones.

Gulp..... Not sure what is worse...fire or flood.

Let it sit with the new gas a few days. Might loosen up the float or needle. May not even need to remove carb.
