  1. Yeah me to! Especially the heat.
  2. Indeed Frank, a carb kit for sure and lots of tips from past posts here. Talked.to the dealer and the parts guy is going to hook me up with a manual. He'll sell me the used service pub they have and order a new one for their shop. Said they probably have an owners manual as well. I sure miss my little garage I had in Virginia. Concrete floor, heat and a/c, my big air compressor plumbed up, welder wired in the overhead hoisting gantry. I'll get there but trying to get this farm working some is sucking up a lot of time.
  3. Hopefully I get one with a blade for snow and pulling trees down for firewood and one for the bride to use in the garden.
  4. Ski resort machines. Used to move snow guns mainly. I think there's more rivets than plastic in the body from them rolling down the mountain. Plus side is they were fairly well maintained for most of their life.
  5. Actually got a chance to get to the barn for a minute. Started getting them out of the mud. They sure aren't spring chickens.
  6. You're a good man Frank. Pretty work, you'll make your friend very happy.
  7. I know folks that run things into the ground and then ask why it won't go. Duh
  8. Parts pic I had on the phone. Might the red arrow be pointing to the area?
  9. The Shindy kit has been recommended as well as the random chinese kits. My last couple of Harley evos were c/v carbed. They both have been treated to a similar mod kit as seen below the better throttle response was nice and they breathed better. Has anyone tried this kit? I'm itching to start my project and will have to do a carb regardless. The H's also got new Andrews Ev-27 cams
  10. Good progress, wish the weather would cooperate with me a bit more.
  11. Less than a bill, sweet!!!! My kinda deal. You're on the way to a nice machine.
  12. Yeah I agree with the China carb being junk. Lots of cables which really made me smile.
  13. Thanks Ajmboy got em! Now to find somewhere to get them printed. Not sure my HP is up to the task. The nearest town of any size is an hour away and there isn't a lot there other than a wall mart and the dollar general:). Supposed to be warm this week but the farmer down the way has some work he needs doing so Monday and Tuesday are shot. The F150 needs front wheel bearings and 4wd actuators so needs must. Oh and an outer tie rod end. Forgot to mention the bikes came with a few spares. Hopefully I can make the seat cover fit.
  14. Sweet little project! I'm jealous of the spa e you have available.
  15. Indeed found the service manual here maybe I can get it printed out somewhere. There's a front diff lock mod I'll be doing and just like browsing other folks issues and remedies.
  16. Had a hell of a time with a Bayou 300 carb leaking. Ran it down to the float valve seat. Non replaceable tried polishing techniques and had no success. Had to sour e a.used one and replace.it.
  17. Suzuki King Quad 300's Frank. 3 are 95's and one has had the tag ripped off but a couple of guys at another forum believe it to be a 98.
  18. My thoughts exactly. I do want to start assessing what I have though it's like being a kid and not being able to play with a Christmas present you saw early by mistake. Reading all the post on a couple of different forums and saving up tips and tips. Looking around for a factory service manual used ones seen awfully rare, need to call the dealer I guess. Yeah tradebit and such but I'm old and like paper.
  19. A lot of cold and snow between now and spring. Thought I was going to be able to get some cribbing under them today. Ha frozen in the mud. I did find 3 of 4 vin tags. Number four shows the scars where it lost his. So 3 of 4 are 95's.
  20. Yeah the wind is wailing and the snow is blowing. I have tarps and stoves and torpedo heaters. But I'm getting to old to be that excited. :] Spent all day cruising the bride around and have to do it again tomorrow.
  21. Looks like a good project to me. You're going to be impressed by the 4wd.
  22. Well they were free. 3 turned over with the pull cord. Fourth may have been in gear. They have been cannibalized over the years and beat on pretty hard. I'm thinking with not a lot of money I can get one going easy. Hoping for two then mama will have one for the garden chores. Had to put em in a tractor barn that's open on the ends so they will sit awhile. We get weather here.
