  1. Hmmmm??? your fluke meter only out 9 vdc...Curious...what ohm readings did you get? Mega, Kilo ohms?...Glad you found that. Did the coil get heated causing the insulation failure?
  2. Good info...
  3. I want to use the 50 Amp connectors for my winch.
  4. OK...I need to upgrade my Box.
  5. yes that is what I did...OEM belt. Replaced primary clutch ...Then before installing the cover I started him up and watched the sheaves open and close as I throttled him. "Mr. Always Ready" is always ready again...LOL
  6. Lots Of fun....i sleep well in the cold air.
  7. The groves were about 1/2 inch depressions. and at the deepest point 0.004 in deep. I mic'd the aftermarket belt width. It was exactly to spec's of Yamaha; however did not lasy. Maybe you can see better here...
  8. Here is the 0.004 in groves. At top of picture is remains of the aftermarket belt...it exploded. Also The Yamaha calls for 3 oz of grease. Her is how i lubed it and only used < 3 oz. of Tinkseal.
  9. It has been In the low 40's here overnight. What are you keeping warm with? BTW Those are super great photos🤩....sorry about the loss of your friend, May he RIP.

  12. Mike has professional looking Power Boxes. I have not found a source for "project " electrical boxes.
  13. I wonder if the type /brand makes a difference? The local battery shop sells one that is expnsive and they claim it is better. My electric driveway gates in Fla have a charger on the battery and those batteries only last TWO years! However, my Generac's (I have two) batteries last longer. Those AAA bateries in personal devices don't last long. I own Energizer stock...OMG
  14. So I have seen advertised trickle chargers for batteries that claim they will extend the life of batteries. Is that what you use on your Power Box...(Love that name) you should copyright that name
  15. Let the smoke out of electronics! Yeah I love it when I see the solder Lands on PCB are raised up and burned.
  16. That's good ...Fla does not restrict that.. I always thought all lighting front and rear Had to be DOT approve. I have DOT headlights on my sand rail.
  17. Sorry Mike I was out late last night. too much Vino..That is your rig ...
  18. Neat set up...That's one of my faults..I try to "make do with what got". You make it look factory. If I am getting paid I actually make it look factory. That is the same Rig "Jumping Jack" That Mike explorer has. Yours single axle? Mo pics?
  19. Yeah...saw that ..I did not get the crimp terminals with the anderson housing...Makes sence now...Need an anderson crimp tool. now and terminals. I have the 50 Amp housing.
  20. Yes some tricks were obvious but WTH... How about the bench seat and the old Manual Transmission shifter on the center console ...Grandma told me about that.! Or let go down to the Bay and watch the submarine races...I have a blanket because they are underwater now
  21. Wow ....Scary...Sit on my boyfriend's lap😢
  22. Guys take girls to scary movies as it gets the girls excited...I know that old trick LOL
  23. OK I should havelooked on you tube...Thank you
  24. Here is my battery box. the battery fits in and there is a devider to keep it secur. The Bat cables come out of weather proof openings at sides. Two side handles. I like the rope handle on yours.. much easier to grip and carry. The picture is the Manual control i made for my 1500 lb portable winch. I have the 50 amp connectors like you showed but have no clue how to attach the cable to the connector.
