  1. Yes my Kaw 1000 is shaft drive. >94 K miles ( I did not put all those on..LOL) It had a trailer hitch when I got it with 65 K miles from a widiow. But one looses some efficiency frrom the worm gear. Not that I need it.
  2. Glad you figured that out....Gasket blown....???? Hydrolok???? Is rod bent also...?
  3. My heavy gravely blade worked good in wet snow. My body weight lifts it up..LOL everything frozen now 5 F last night...last Saturday it was 34F perfect sno angel snow!
  4. So do you use the winch (got it right this time) that came with the Arctic cat or a separate winch?
  5. Yes that make sense...Dumb idea...I have a 12 vdc linear actuator I was trying to figure out what to do with it.
  6. lift the Winch...Freudian slip lift with a winch....OMG too sleepy
  7. Have you ever thought of using an electric "linear actuator" to lift the pow instead of the wench. Linear actuators use a screw mechanism to move the load. They are limited to a short stroke ...10 inches or so. However they have a lot of lift force and down force. Security gates use 12 vdc linear actuators.
  8. Bummer! How heavy is that plow? does your plow have a rubber wear strip?
  9. I saw some on line that weighed 70 Lbs 4 ft wide.
  10. The snow plow for my Gravely weighs 110 Lb. Is that too heavy to mount on Foreman?
  11. It was almost 32 F last night. I always wanted to make a snow angel in my Bikini like I see the girls at the ski lodges do. But could not lay directly in the snow. It is cold. It was a bucket list thing!...LOL
  12. It was 22 overnight but dropped to 15 F.. No power loss. But I feel for those who have lost power. That is bad.
  13. WE had another inch of snow last night. I have the SXS on that solar Bat charger I bought from Harbor Freight.. I mounted the solar panel inside the window on my shed. It appears to work great with the sun that shines through the window. I keep Foreman in the cottage basement where I can watch over him and keep him charged up.
  14. be careful...Protection is best remember an ounce of prevention .....etc. LOL

  18. Yes Ladders have OSHA tag , Slings have ASME tags. The safety orange ladder next to my goofy picture is a 12 ft ladder my friend gave me.. His guys said the OSHA tag was unreadable. It was but my friend said his guys hated the ladder because it was heavy.... LOL He thinks they scratched it unreadable.
  19. Wow that is a project!
  20. Oh yes, The 6 " X 12 ft eye & eye sling carrying 90 % of Mr Blue's weight was a "gift "from a construction crew I worked with. The ASME sling tag was unreadable, so they gave it to me. 4 Ply rated at > 30 K Lbs...LOL
  21. I have a cheaper hat clip but my new one has a band and hat bill clip....goes both ways you might say...
  22. Welcome and thank you for your service! I am in awe of the men who sit in the steel behemoth (Job 40-15) M48 Patton . It was a blessing to the military during the Viet Nam War.
  23. Having said that it is easy for me to say as I can afford the other pricey equipment. Some may not.
  24. My girlfriend immigrated legally from Kowloon (the walled City across from Hong Kong). Frankly, the Lord knows I am not puritanical and have regrets; however, I would not even consider buying from the enemy. On the trail it's not a point of discussion about what you ride. Sorry,.
  25. 3 tn Chain fall Harbor freight. I made the 'spreader bar' . Mr Blue weights 515 lbs. Including the lead weighted center board weights that weights > 100lbs.
