For those of you who are into coffee, I found this little article that might interest some of you. I admit it. I am a coffee snob. I try not to be obnoxious about it, but let the record show: I enjoy a really great cup of coffee. But pay $4 a cup for it? No way. Even snobs have their limits. Over the years, I’ve learned that a really good cup of coffee has less to do with money and more to do with knowledge and care. In fact—and this is the amazing thing—the more I learn, the less I spend. BEANS. Purchase whole bean coffee as soon after it has been roasted as possible. Freshness is the key to a superb cup of coffee. Purchase in small amounts—only as much as you can use within 2 weeks of being roasted. RATIO. The perfect ratio of coffee beans (prior to grinding) and water is: One-half cup whole beans to 8 cups of water. GRIND. Grind your beans as close to brew time as possible. A burr or mill grinder that crushes the beans is preferable to a blade grinder that cuts them. Once ground, coffee should be used immediately. WATER. If your water is highly chlorinated use bottled or filtered water. It must be right at 200 F, just short of boiling temperature, when it hits the dry grinds. This is critical to creating a great cup of coffee. Consume immediately. STORE. The enemies of roasted coffee beans are air, moisture, heat and light—in that order. Keep your beans in an airtight container that is not close to moisture (sink, dishwasher), heat (oven, stove) or light (countertop). Do not store your daily coffee in the refrigerator or freezer because contact with moisture causes it to deteriorate. For larger quantities of roasted beans that you cannot use within 2 weeks, wrap in airtight bags and store for up to a month in the freezer—making sure the beans are completely protected against moisture. Once removed from the freezer, do not return. BUY. Most supermarkets offer high-quality, roasted coffee beans for $.60 to $1 per ounce ($9.50 - $16.00 per pound). Ouch! Discount warehouse clubs like Costco, Sam’s and B.J.’s have considerably less expensive coffee at about $9 a pound for name brands like Starbuck’s and Peet’s. Still, that’s too rich for my blood. ROAST. I roast my own coffee for two reasons: It is infinitely better tasting and half the price. I purchase green coffee beans by mail order for about $4 - $6 a pound, depending on current conditions and variety. I started out roasting in a popcorn popper (West Bend’s Poppery II is ideal) and have graduated to a small coffee roaster. You won’t believe how easy it is to roast coffee. And enjoyable, too. I roast only one-week’s worth at a time—about twenty minutes. Green coffee beans have an indefinite, useful shelf life of at least a year, and probably two or longer. But I’ll never know. Coffee beans just don’t last that long around my house!

I have never Been anywhere Riding where they were enforcing the AGE LAW...Garrett got his first 50cc Quad when he was 3...At 5 he Was "Out Riding it"..So now he is Still 5 and Rides a TRX90...My oldest Son is Riding a 250 and he is 11...However,,,Every kid is Different in their Skills and Maturity...My Rule is give them a CC that they feel Comfortable and Adequate on... Garrett....Race Ready:D

Just playin with the New Camera....Never had a Nice camera like this...This will take some Getting used to....BTW...If any of you Read the Thread I started in the Modification section on Drilling the AirBox...I was Wrong....Well,,,Not Entirely....Its fine until 3/4 Throttle...After that she She is Starvin for Fuel....Main jet and needle will be Changed and moved this weekend...I will post my findings.... The parts of the Track that I would really like to take Pictures of are too far for the Flash...Maybe I can Wiesel my way out there and get some better shots next time....

The CC limit is already in place...Has been for yrs....I agree that everyone should do their part to keep the Sport alive Via Kids....But Come on.... This SH** is Virtually somewhere All the Time, Not just Oregon....It wont Happen... All I know is that CA Banned 2 people on Any ATV along time ago....However,, when they came out with the Duel User Quads they are Legal:confused: Also,,,,I ride alot in Oregon,,,There you can Ride as many as you want... Maybe because these are Designed for 2 it is legal....

And,,,I will be sure to keep ya posted.....I've been playing with the new camera and some of the software this morning...I manipulated one of the pictures from the old camera to make it look like SOMETHING....This was the best I could make it look.... Also,,,,Here are some pictures of his bike....I dont think I ever posted them before.... Taken with the new camera....

I never thought I would have that much fun...I mean,,,I enjoy the hell out of Riding with him on the Trails and Dunes but this just got my Blood Pumping... Anyway,,I fixed my Digital Camera Problem.... I went and bought the Canon Rebel XTI 10.2 MP....This baby shoots 5 Frames a Second with a 14 Frame Burst!!!! Fantastic Pictures too...

Well,,,,We had a Few Problems right off the Bat...Im still Very Irritated about it....You see....Our Digital Camera AND our Digital Video Camera Both Started working improperly....the DC Wont Focus anymore and the VC would not Record nor would it show anything in the View Finder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So,,,,We did get some Really out of Focus pictures for you to enjoy!!! I called Canon on the VC this morning and apparently there is a Recall because of that Problem....But it will not be back in time for his Second Race.... Garrett did Very well last night...He was the Slowest in his Age group but then again,,,,His competitors were all almost Nine on 8 Thousand Dollar Quads...But he had a GREAT time...He Raced 4 times and each race was 8 laps...Each time he was Faster...He did Very Well in the Traffic and Kept a Good line all the way around the Track....Lisa and I were at different parts of the Track and we had a Few friends there as well at different spots...He knew where we were and took our Hand Signals Excellently!!! You know.....the (WAVE, WAVE, WAVE, GO GO GO !!!!!! Signal) He would Punch it when we did that and sometimes give us a Thumbs Up!!! LOL!!!! He made a Few Friends there too....He cant wait until Practice next Tuesday and then Race again on Friday....So that is all,,,,Here are the Sucky Pictures.......
