I take my Arty Cats off big jumps all the time. My 500 just seems to be weighted perfectly. It always lands on the rear wheels or flat. Some of the fast trails I ride have whoops in them to prevent erosion. They are angled across the trail. I don't even slow down for them, hitting them sometimes at 35-40 mph. My friends on sports can't jump them right, they get thrown off to one side, or end up nose diving on the other side. I'm not saying my Cats jump better than sports, I can't get as much air or distance as a sport, but some sport riders are impressed seeing a 700 lb Cat fly.

I run a TRX450 in quadcross style races here and there. Consisting of log crossings, water holes, rocks, whoops and other fun challenges. It is VERY impressive to the 4x4 class blast through the stuff. The sport guys we just bounce over the stuff. The utes power through.

Good morning, I am new to the forum. I'm 75 years old and love getting ATVs back to usable condition. I particularly like the 2006-2009 Arctic Cat 250 Utility. I currently own 6. The 2006 I am working on only has reverse and low gear. The "drive shaft" in the transmission is completely stripped where the high gear would mesh. Has anyone on here replaced the shaft. I'm told I have to split the case. I was hoping that someone on here could let me know how hard it will be. I already have it stripped down to where the shaft coming in from the clutch side is the only thing left. I was hoping I could just remove the driven clutch and drive it out from there. Directions say different. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just thought I would start a poll on this topic manly because I'm not a fan of belt drives. Just want to know which you prefer.

(Question is at the end if you want to skip my blabbering) I got this unbelievably well taken care of Grizzly 350 in for a carb clean, it belongs to an elderly couple that bought it brand new in '07. Apparently whoever has been doing their oil changes for them never checked the air filter..
Obviously it got debris in the carb, it would still run but only idle with slight choke. I've taken it apart and cleaned it, have new o rings, gaskets, etc. As far as the mixture screw is concerned, I'm assuming I obviously need to remove the plug. I'm mainly a lawn equipment guy, I've worked on slide carbs in the past but never an unmolested one with the plug still intact. I hate to mess with it as the carb had very little debris but I'm sure the o ring needs to be replaced at minimum. Finally, the question: what's the best way of removing the plug? I DO NOT want to mess up this carb..

My 2004 Yamaha Grizzly 660 seat is a mess, torn up, cracked, and I have been duct taping it for a while.  I bought new vinyl for $35 and need to do it one day. A new seat used to be well over $250 but now its under $100 so I couldn't resist. I got it on ebay with a 10% off coupon for $85.05 plus tax. https://www.ebay.com/itm/146040022154
In case anyone is looking for a new seat for their Yamaha Grizzly 😁

I saw it on Amazon as well for under $100
