I bought a 2008 arctic at 366 with 120hrs. When i red line it in neutral is smokes blue a lot. When I put it in high range it has problems getting over 35km/h. I bought it and had to clean the carb. It ran ok after i cleaned it. Not I have this problem.

air rulers fine. I cleaned the carb again and just before the carb there is an air box. The box was FULL OF DIRT. I cleaned it out and it runs great but still smokes blue. I'm thinking sand or dirt got into the cylinder and scored the cylinder walls.

Ok so I definitely need to redo my rings because today I started it up and it smokes really bad. Does anyone have a price on how much this costs if I do the rings myself?

I suspect it probably would not fit , the 366 is a Kymco engine and the 400 is a Suzuki engine. Even though the engine specs are close to the same i think the chances of a Suzuki top end fitting a Kymco engine to very very slim. Could be wrong, never tried it.

Correct, the 400 is Suzuki, the 366 is Kymco.  I had a 2010 366 that my girl rode, Sold it this summer after buying another machine. It had 11,000 miles on it and still ran well.

Her current machine is a 2017 400 Alterra, which is basically the same machine as the 366 with different plastics.

The 400 altera i a Kymco motor?   Taiwanese.

The 366 model (2008-2012?) and the Alterra 400 (2013-2018) were Kymco motors.  I don't know if the newer 400 model is, they changed it now to the 425 which I think is the re-designed model which would be Arctic Cat / Trakker motor.  Some of the parts on her Alterra say "Kymco" on it.

My 450 is an Arctic Cat motor, my new 600 is the re-designed machine (trakker motor)

Kymco is a good brand, in fact Michelle's FIRST quad was a Kymco (2008) it was OK, but being a sport model, she got beat up on it since our local terrain is rocky. In 2010 I got her the black Arctic Cat 366 model which was much better. Sold the Kymco and to this date, it is still running.

I’m having a issue with my choke when its on it runs fine when I cut the choke off the atv cuts off went to take the carburetor off and saw the choke plunger broke at the nut to screw it in could this be my issue? Do I just need to buy a plunger kit and put it on? I took the carburetor off and cleaned both jets anyway just to make sure and it’s still having issues staying on

HI everyone. New to this forum. I have 98 Kawasaki Bayou 400 with an apparent electrical issue. I have the Clymer manual, but I am not exactly sure where to start. The issue started a month ago and the neutral light would go on and off intermittently. Eventually it went completely off , and I thought it was a shifting issue. I took the case off and checked the clutch and all mechanical shifting components are good, so I think I eliminated that. The switch sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Last time I tried, I did hear a clicking sound near where the battery is right before the light went out. Does anyone have any ideas where to start? Hoping this is an easy fix.
